The following information is provided to make your stay as smooth and carefree as possible. Please read these rules and regulations carefully before booking and let us know if you have any questions!

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCES:
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come!
1. 10pm - 8am hours are quiet time for all rentals as determined by the county.
2. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
3. We cannot host extra people above the permitted number of guests or allow parties on the premises.
4. We cannot accommodate extra cars on the property. Parking on the street and dirt is prohibited.
5. If your home has a hot tub, please enjoy it until 10pm at which time hot tubs are no longer allowed to be used.

PLEASE NOTE: Noise levels are closely monitored in Tahoe and neighbors may alert the police in the event of excessive noise. Fines will be issued to guests found in violation of noise regulations. In order to protect the homeowner permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave in the event of noise complaints.

IMPORTANT INFO:
• QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: Nestled away in nature, Tahoe at night becomes very peaceful and quiet. As a result, we can only host groups that respect Tahoe's county appointed quiet hours. Our guests generally have no issues abiding by these rules, simply head inside or to the casinos by 10pm. We appreciate your understanding!
• KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
• TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance as we typically do not offer refunds in the event of covid, smoke, fires, weather, snowstorms, road closures, etc.
• WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic winter season of 2023, we recommend travelling with 4WD vehicles, equipped with snow tires and tire chains. Drivers should have experience with snowy conditions. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
• BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shoveled during the winter. But if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use outdoor spaces.
• LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out if you wish to request a late check out time. The first hour is free, followed by a $25/hour fee with check out time not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel as far as 1 hour to clean your home, so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time unless otherwise requested.
• HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts, and charcoal BBQs are prohibited.
• BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows, and view bears from afar. Please do not feed the bears.
• TOWELS: We supply one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant, as well as one hand towel per bathroom.
• SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance, but we take our guests' privacy VERY seriously. There are never indoor cameras. Most cameras are only in use to monitor snow and noise levels, plus a little bear watching.
• MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: Any time you’re staying at a Tahoe home, it’s not uncommon to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found, it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, it’s simply life in Tahoe! Please let us know if you find any critters and we will promptly mitigate.
• REVIEWS: We genuinely value your input and appreciate constructive feedback that can help us enhance our offerings. If you have any issues whatsoever, please communicate directly with us so we can offer a resolution. We will always act swiftly to ensure your best possible stay. WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY
A storm in Tahoe can drop up to 2 feet or more in 24 hours so if you haven’t been to Tahoe during a heavy Winter, please take note. The roads and driveways in Tahoe are only plowed when snow accumulates to more than 6 inches so if it snowed less than that or you are coming during an active storm, you will arrive to snow on the roads leading up to this home AND on the driveway. Since street parking is not allowed during the Winter, you will need to drive over the snow either using chains or with your 4WD engaged (or both) and onto the driveway. There are also shovels provided for shoveling. Especially after the historic Winter of 2023, we do not recommend coming to Tahoe unless you have a higher clearance 4WD vehicle with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Always bring chains no matter what kind of car you have. Even if it’s not actively snowing, Tahoe roads are steep and icy. Power outages are also common. The Grand Welcome difference is we have a very experienced local team who are here to help you during your stay – as long as safety allows. If we can get to you, we will come help! Not all hosts have this kind of local support so this is the benefit to booking a Grand Welcome home!

House rules

  1. By booking this home you agree to the county rental laws and the following house rules. Failure to abide by any of the below items may result in an eviction with no refund. We don’t like doing it but in order to keep our owners rental permits intact, sometimes it has to be done. Vast majority of our guests have no issue but every once in a while we do get a rowdy group. We do our best to communicate with you long before it leads to an eviction so please have your booking cell phone on you during your stay. Message us if you have any questions or concerns and we appreciate your understanding on the matter 🙂
  2. COUNTY LAWS & HOUSE RULES
  3. Must be 25 or older to book this home.
  4. Strictly no hot tub use after 10pm - only if applicable!
  5. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all all rentals.
  6. Trash goes into the bear box only and is not to be left outside.
  7. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
  8. No extra cars, parking on the street OR on the dirt.
  9. No smoking on the premises and especially no flicking cigarette butts.
  10. No open flame fires, fire works, bonfires, etc - due to high fire risk.
  11. No yelling, blasting music, fighting or other loud noise that could disturb the neighbors.
  12. No pets unless the home is specifically pet friendly. We do host service animals unless the owners are allergic as it is then a health and safety issue. Please contact us to double check.
  13. The number of overnight occupants shall not exceed two persons per permitted bedroom. Children six years of age or older are counted towards the occupancy limits.
  14. DAMAGE
  15. You are covered for any accidental damage and then anything seen as neglectful, you will be charged. It’s best to report all damage to us right away so the appropriate measures can be taken. If you treat this home as if it were your own, then you should be fine.

  17. The following pertains to ALL homes in Tahoe and not just this one. A typical storm in Tahoe can drop anywhere from 1-3 feet in 24 hours so if you haven’t been to Tahoe during a heavy Winter, please take note. Nice area and open spacious living area

Toilet clogged easily and they would not unclog it. Plunger did not work. Only 1 full bath with slow draining water Other full bath was attached to a bedroom WITH NO DOOR in between. So hardly anyone could use it except those sleeping in that room. 1/2 bath was great, but only toilet and sink. Kitchen, living, dining were all great open large areas. Bedroom next to bath was hard to sleep in as bathroom noise spreads easily thru the thin walls.

A nice property in a great location.

My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because of the lack of hot water available. The water got warm but never hot, & there wasn’t much to use before it was back to cold. Also, the ceilings fans in the living area looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since they were installed. I would like to stay here again, so hopefully the above issues will be addressed.

Wonderful stay

Place is cozy and clean. We loved sitting out on the balconies. One bit of information that will be helpful the showers hot and cold are the opposite. If you want a warm shower use the cold side. Very nice house. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay and nice location!

Myself and some friends decided to stay here during a friend’s wedding. Ended up being perfectly placed between the city of South Lake Tahoe and the wedding venue at Sierra-at-Tahoe. The location was great...away from the crowded hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to be convenient. The home was very nice, with a great master suite and three bedrooms that worked well for everybody else. Nice open kitchen and living room for entertaining, and great decks to enjoy the scenery and beautiful night sky. Definitely recommend!
