This Santa Barbara beachfront cottage puts you steps from Miramar Beach with your own private entrance and shared beach access. Soak in the tub after a day in the waves, fire up the gas BBQ on warm summer evenings, or explore nearby Butterfly Beach and downtown Santa Barbara just 11 minutes away. The cottage sleeps 4 with a queen bedroom and soaker tub. Great for couples or small families seeking a coastal retreat.

Description

The bedroom features a queen bed with premium linens and French doors opening to ocean breezes. The bathroom offers both a standing shower for quick rinses and a separate soaking tub for post-beach relaxation. The living room has a sleeper sofa and smart TV with streaming capability. The full kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all cookware and dishware. A round dining table seats 4. Washer and dryer are in-unit. The outdoor space includes lounge chairs, an umbrella, a shared gas BBQ, beach chairs, and lawn games. Dedicated parking for one vehicle. WiFi throughout. The cottage sits tucked away at the back of the property with a separate entrance for complete privacy. French doors in the bedroom open to let in ocean breezes and natural light. In summer, the shared walkway to Miramar Beach makes it easy to spend long days on the sand. In winter, the soaking tub and cozy living room offer a warm place to relax after coastal walks.

This place is a cute little cottage just steps away from the beach. It worked well for my family of four (2 adults and 2 small kids). The cottage is comfortable and everything we needed was provided (including a tar removal kit for cleaning your feet after the beach). The owners are really friendly and welcoming.

Clean, well maintained, well stocked kitchen and beach supplies, great beach front location with designated parking, within 5-10 minute drive of restaurants and shopping, comfortable queen bed and pullout couch with ample towels and linens, clear instructions before arrival, multiple spare keys, full size toiletries provided, Lush garden landscaping with thoughtful pathway lighting after dark made the location feel safe. A short Amtrack passenger train runs by nearby a few times a day, but not overnight. I would plan another vacation around staying in this cottage.

My stay at this beachfront Airbnb was fantastic. The location is great, and being so close to the ocean made for a very relaxing trip. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was cozy, and the space was perfect for unwinding after long days outside. I also appreciated the easy check-in process and responsive communication from the host — it’s clear they care about their guests’ experience. I would happily stay here again. One note for future guests: I do wish the listing more clearly explained that the cottage itself is not at the very back of the property near the ocean — the main house is. It didn’t negatively impact my stay, but clearer expectations would be helpful.

Celebrated my friend’s 45th here. I had walked past these cottages when I first arrived in Santa Barbara, and always wanted to get the chance to vacation in a home on the beach. Mission accomplished, and well worth it! I would do it again in a heartbeat. The home-owners were gracious and totally Chill! Got to see surfers and king tides in the privacy of our own lawn chairs! Weather was perfect even in November.

We had a wonderful time at Garden Cottage and are very happy to have booked this AirBnB. The location is incredibly beautiful and the access to the beach is fantastic. There are beach chairs and beach toys - perfect for a vacation with children. The cottage is lovingly decorated and well equipped. You have everything you need for a vacation rental. However, we agree with the previous reviews that the furniture is a bit older. But that didn't change the fact that we felt incredibly comfortable and we would love to come back anytime. The apartment is also generally very clean (we had one complaint on arrival but it was resolved immediately by the rental company and was no big deal). The owners, who live in the main house, are incredibly nice and friendly.

Our time at the Garden Cottage was so wonderful! The owners of the property, Peter, Donna, and their sweet pup Koda, were so friendly and gave us plenty of privacy during our stay. They truly made us feel right at home. Peter told us some awesome history on the house/cottage and some really cool facts about the local environment. The cottage itself was very clean and the perfect size for two people. It’s an awesome home base for people who like to get out and explore. The walk to the beach is literally steps away, and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets every evening. We even saw some dolphins on our last night there! I highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy a private corner of Montecito/Santa Barbara.

Perfect for what we were looking for in size and location. Fully stocked w access to nice garden. Train passing by & whistling just yards away brings back sweet family memories. Owners live on site, don’t manage it, but are keen to allow guests as much privacy as possible. (The only draw back is the property management company, GW, it took many days to get processed with conflicting information about guest verification Co. and many frustrating calls. We stayed before and had same frustrating experience with same prop mgmt as well, till day of travel).

Our stay was amazing. The cottage is cozy and was perfect size for our family of 3. The beach is a short walk(less than 100ft) away and felt like our own private beach. I enjoyed a couple relaxing beach runs and even hopped in the water one afternoon. The location is centrally located so it’s easy to get to restaurants and stores. I hope to stay again soon or move in with our great hosts in the front house. Jokes aside, they were kind and welcoming.

The house was clean and well stocked. We were comfortable and felt right at home. It was a great place for kids and absolutely gorgeous. Such a little gem for me and my kids to stay while visiting family in the area. The beach access was right there. It's not a fancy upscale place to stay, but for our family it was absolutely perfect for location and price, friendly hosts, and morning runs on the beach. This little cottage was in a great location with a short walk( just a few yards!) to Miramar Beach. The accommodations were basic and as described. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed our long weekend here!

This VRBO is a very cozy cottage, steps from Miramar beach in Montecito. Although its not fancy, its very clean and has nice amenities including a very comfortable bed. Its located in a great neighborhood and close to all of the attractions near Montecito. We stayed to celebrate my birthday and had a great dinner at Caruso's in the Rosewood resort - a short walk from the cottage. We were happy, felt the price was appropriate, and would definitely do it again.

Such a little gem for me and my kids to stay while visiting family in the area. The beach access was right there. It's not a fancy upscale place to stay, but for our family it was absolutely perfect for location and price, friendly hosts, and morning runs on the beach. The property management company was warm and responsive. All great!!

Good location and quiet. Location next to the beach is slightly misleading given the photos, as the guest house is behind, not facing the beach as advertised, but its not a big deal. Friendly hosts.

This little cottage was in a great location with a short walk( just a few yards!) to Miramar Beach. The accommodations were basic and as described. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed our long weekend here!

This VRBO is a very cozy cottage, steps from Miramar beach in Montecito. Although its not fancy, its very clean and has nice amenities including a very comfortable bed. Its located in a great neighborhood and close to all of the attractions near Montecito. We stayed to celebrate my birthday and had a great dinner at Caruso's in the Rosewood resort - a short walk from the cottage. We were happy, felt the price was appropriate, and would definitely do it again.

My family had a wonderful time walking down to the beach for breakfast and coming back In the afternoon for sunset walks. Cottage was well kept and classic Santa Barbara Spanish style. Loved out stay. Hosts were very nice and accommodating.
