Perfect stay!! I am very picky about cleanliness and it was spotless and fresh. The beds and linens were high quality and comfortable and the home was well stocked and cozy! Such a beautiful peaceful backyard as well! Great location and friendly hosts :) thanks so much! You can tell this home is well cared for.

Check in was not a good experience. Asked us to send copy of DL thru unsecured platforms that VRBO asked us not to. Took almost 2 hours to allow us inside with password. Never sent password so we couldn’t lock the door when we left. While waiting it rained on our suitcases. Wash/dryer only for 1 week or longer stay. Broom wss in laundryroom. Otherwise beautiful backyard and home. Easy to get to and from. Safe neighborhood. Large kitchen and two front rooms. It is unfortunate that they hage unique rules and check in was unsatisfactory. Check out earlier than normal at 10am. Otherwise would of gave them 5 stars.

We enjoyed our stay at Live Oak Backyard Oasis, especially the fragrant, lovely, and spacious back yard. The house is attractive, well-organized, comfortable, and roomy enough for 3 guests and our visitors (my grandson, granddaughter-in-law, and their two small children) the first evening of our 3-night stay. The house was spotless and equipped the essentials, with only one exception (no trash bag for the kitchen trash can). The house was also quiet, which surprised us due to its location, which is relatively close to commercial property and the area's main highway (and, fortunately for us, also close to my grandson and the location of our great-granddaughter's 3rd birthday party). Booking and checking in and out went smoothly, with no glitches. The property manager communicated clearly and often with us -- in fact, I received 2-4 emails/texts a day (which I found a bit intrusive). The handbook stationed at the house was very helpful, too.The pricing was reasonable for the area and the quality of the property. All things considered, it was among the best values of all available vacation homes and hotels/motels in the Santa Cruz area.We'll definitely consider Live Oak Backyard Oasis for future trips to Santa Cruz.

Positive: beds are adjustable and super comfortable! Plenty of towels and extra pillows. Place was clean and well kept up with minimal clutter. The backyard is beautiful. Close to food, shopping, beach and things to do while being away from a lot of homeless and other problems Santa Cruz has a lot of. Negative: they didn’t respond for days and have laundry locked up and only available for “long stays”, also very minimal items in the kitchen (no sugar or coffee even), not like most air b&bs where they have staples like oil, sugar, coffee and seasoning. Also only a metal spatula which explains why the non stick pan is not so nonstick :( Also the one shower inside is very hard to navigate and either burning or freezing and if anyone flushes a toilet or turns on water prepare to be scalded, also the shelf is slanted so if a door closes or any movement everything slides and falls off on your toes.

The house is very nice with a beautiful back yard; it’s well equipped, we had all we needed for a very enjoyable week; the house is nicely decorated and cozy; the beds are comfortable; the house was absolutely spotless; the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The hosting team responded very quickly when we had questions. The only one thing to make it even better: access to the washer and dryer. We will stay at this property again, we loved it!

We stayed for a month during a remodel at our home and found the place very comfortable and well equipped. It had everything we needed for a longer stay, and we felt right at home.

We were in town for UCSC commencement. The location was nice and quiet with an oasis of a backyard. Minimal traffic and neighbor sounds. The house is well maintained and had all the the amenities listed. It was a quick drive to Santa Cruz and Capitola with plenty of options in the area for shopping and eating. It was a very nice stay for a long weekend.

Just this past week, the "Whale Bridge" opened up which connects the ocean side of Hwy 1 to the other side of Hwy 1-- meaning now, you can walk over the bridge to Moe's Alley-- an excellent place for live music. Very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and instructions were very clear. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the back yard was especially beautiful. The towels and linens were high quality and the bed was very comfortable. The central location made it easy to get to anywhere in the Santa Cruz area. Excellent experience!

Great Stay! Place is as described. All basic necessities included (dish detergent, soap, paper towels, clean linen, clean towels). Very nice and quiet neighborhood. We loved the place and we will be recommending to families and friends!

The house was very clean and the management company was very responsive. The location was good and very close to the 101. The backyard was gorgeous. Do note though that it is on a busier street so getting out of the driveway was sometimes a bit of a challenge at times. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a very nice stay at Live Oak Oasis. The description and pictures were accurate and checking / communication all went very smoothly. We particularly liked the spacious interior with two comfortable lounging areas, dining table, kitchen counter seating and card table. The rear yard was spacious and beautiful - perfect for a morning coffee (just note that rear yard amenities were basic and monitored by security camera). The neighborhood was nice-suburban and an easy drive to Santa Cruz downtown, the coast, and mountains / hiking to the north. Overall a solid and reliable choice for a Santa Cruz area stay!

Nice place, would definitely stay here again. We had a hard time finding an airbnb in the area in our price range that wasn’t super small or an apartment, this house was great. Good central location right between capitola and sc and close to the beach. Kitchen had lots of stuff for cooking (but no dishwasher detergent or trash bags). Neighborhood was QUIET.

This was our first time out of home with our baby and we really enjoyed the stay. Although it was a little tough with the baby the first day, I was glad that the experience with check-in and the stay was very smooth. The backyard was really beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the home.

I had a wonderful stay at this Santa Cruz house! The backyard was absolutely beautiful, providing a perfect space to relax and unwind. The property itself was impeccably clean and easy to access with the provided code. There was two parking spots available, which made our stay even more convenient. The location was fantastic, offering a great balance of tranquility and proximity to local attractions. The communication was excellent—any questions I had were answered quickly and thoroughly. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again! Thank you all so much again!

Great place. Very beautiful with a lovely backyard and plenty of shared spaces to hang out. Comparable to a hotel experience. Especially appreciated all the ice in the freezer! Whatever issues were listed in some of the previous reviews, they’ve definitely been resolved. Check in was smooth and the hosts were proactively communicating throughout my trip.
