Beautiful Cottage Close to Downtown Austin

The house was a prefect retreat for our team as we were in town hosting an event. It served us well and we felt comfortable and at home. The shower in the backyard also just what we needed!

This place is awesome, it's exactly like in the pictures. Everything at the house just works, they leave some amenities as soap, shampoo, etc. It was super clean as well. Flawless experience.

An overlooked spot thats very private and quiet. Hidden gem, easy check in and out with comfortable space. Hosts respond quickly and efficiently. Cozy and cute cottage.

This cottage is in my favorite neighborhood - walkable to trails, grocery store, coffee shop and great restaurants - no car needed here! The layout of the house is ideal with separate sleeping areas and ensuite baths. There is also has a nice work area and a private outdoor patio. It was very hot in Austin during my stay, but the AC and ceiling fans kept it cool and comfortable in the cottage.

I stayed for 10 days. Like many places in this part of Austin, the house doesn't look like much from the outside, but is way nicer on the inside. As others have mentioned though, the house is hard to find. The actual address doesn't seem to match all of the various mapping services, causing confusion. Very responsive host. Great location if you don't mind walking a bit. Very good neighborhood.

This house was just perfect for the 4 of us. There was plenty of room including an outside space where we could relax. We walked to Josephine House for a wonderful breakfast. We also walked downtown most days and Uber’ed home. Convenient location even though the “hidden” alley makes it a bit tricky to find.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cottage. There were timely, very detailed instructions throughout. It was immaculately clean and well appointed. It's in a great location with easy access to central Austin while still being quiet and private. The owners were very responsive to the question we had. Overall, a great experience and I'd highly recommend staying there!

This unit was convenient with many places of interest in being less than 15 minute car ride. Uber drivers had a difficult time finding us as the entrance to the alleyway is not clearly marked . The address of the unit is also not posted on the house itself so had a bit of a challenging time checking in. Once inside, we were impressed with the unit itself . It was clean uncomfortable . We definitely found outside of the home to be very lackluster. The grounds are not kept well and the outdoor space to have a seat and a drink are sorely lacking. .

House was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Each room had its own temp control. Short ride to Downtown. Close to a huge park with trails. Nice neighborhood.

Great location, if a bit difficult to get to- pulling into somewhat hidden driveway from a VERY busy Enfield Road. But private, quiet, clean and spacious. Had a couple of things come up but Grande Welcome was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely rent again!

Perfect cottage to spend a couple days in Austin! The driveway is a bit hard to find in the dark, but other than that we had a great stay! The cottage was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the location was great.

Our stay was very nice and the cottage is very appealing and well stocked. Note they have a 10:00 AM checkout that was not flexible due to another guest coming in - at 4:00. They apparently need six full hours even though we were told to take out the trash, do the dishes, gather the linens, etc. under threat of fines. That part was not my favorite, and it's fairly clear when interacting with the host that it is not a person - but AI. With those caveats I highly recommend it and would stay again - assuming I'm leaving on a day it's convenient to be out by 10:00.

We were in town for a photoshoot so we didn’t get to spend a ton of time at the space. However, it was the perfect place to lay our heads. Clean, warm, comfy beds, hot showers… close to downtown. The best part was the parking situated directly in front — tucked off the street for safety. We did have a little bit of trouble finding the drive in the dark — just go slow.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this private and quiet cottage home. The privacy comes with a few caveats such as food delivery and ubers that had a hard time finding us to be picked up or to deliver. We ended up walking to the end of the driveway for most of these things, which is a very short walk, so it wasn't too big of a deal and worth it for the amount of privacy. The home is extremely unique and has a lot of art to be admired. The outdoor space was also private, and serene. We would definitely stay here again!

the house is nice, but difficult to get in. Enfield is a very busy street and narrow driveway hidden and easy to miss. if you check in at night it can be stressful. OK once you get familiar with the area. Check out instructions were a bit demanding: The sent a message that included "under penalty" requirement to wash dishes and take out trash before leaving put us off, considering that they charge additional 100 dollars cleaning fee on top of the daily rate. We followed instructions but will not visit again for this reason. The house was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. I am sure a right fit for other customers.

This property was exactly what we were looking for this getaway. Everything about it was amazing! It was very spacious, and each bedroom having its own bathroom was the best. Highly recommend this home to anyone for a little getaway to Austin. It is very close to downtown and restaurants.

Lovely well-appointed cottage in a good location. Host graciously let us enter earlier in the day and was quite responsive when we had trouble with the A/C. However, be aware that in order to complete your booking, even after your deposit has gone through, you will be required to upload to a website (not VRBO) three forms of personal identification (picture, driver’s license or passport and birthdate). We are careful to protect our identity and would have booked elsewhere had we known in advance that this would be required.

We didn’t cook as we were always eating out. It might have been nice to have some coffee in the cupboard as the nearest store was a long walk away. Neighbours were friendly and the house was quiet.

It was lovely - very clean, well appointed. They have some very interesting art. Feels very private and secluded even though it’s in such a densely populated area. It's very close to downtown, with easy access to great restaurants, coffee shops, Whole Foods, the Capitol, and UT. The cottage is tricky to find -- fortunately, we used Google Maps street view to detect the teeny alley, which is the driveway off the main road. I ended up dealing with an external rental agency with very strict rules -- for example, one of our travelers experienced a sudden death in the family, and we were unable to reschedule our stay without losing the full rental price.

The cottage is beautifully decorated, the host was responsive, and we thorughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent in terms of UT, downtown, Lamar Blvd, Congress Ave, I35 to the east and Hwy 1, North and South, to the west. Finding it is not difficult if you slow down and look for the driveway in between 1205 and 1207.

The place was exactly as advertised and comfortable. (Checkin was rough due to house numbers being different than stated on vrbo, and the remote lock combination had to be reset, but that was the only frustrating 20 minutes of the stay.)

Despite the smoke detector battery going off at 3:06 am the first night, the stay went well. Mangement company was very responsive and battery replaced by 7:45am. The cottage itself is very nice, owners should declutter and remove items from closets. Furniture in back bedroom a bit rickety, bed frame squeaks each time you roll over.
