The Sweet Sea Ranch House was cozy. It had a number of touches that took my wife and I back to our homes of the 70s - 80s, which is on brand for Sea Ranch. Everything from the decorations to the faucets to the wall mounted heaters and dial thermostats was a step back in time. All worked well. Many thanks.

Amazing time at Sea ranch! we had rain the whole time but it didn't matter because the cabin was so cozy and comfortable that we felt right at home with amazing views and amenities. TY again!

Sea Ranch is an amazing and interesting place, and this home was an excellent base for spending time and exploring the area. The house was a true reflection of Sea Ranch's principles and design ethos. It was clean, well-stocked, and we had everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hosting mgmt folks were proactive and attentive, and made our stay very easy. They had all the guest passes (for the nearby amenities, i.e. swimming and tennis) filled out for us and ready to use too. The community definitely feels like a protected, private space, which I think helps it maintain it's appeal of being (or feeling) more remote, natural, and untouched. Note that groceries are best served North, in Gualala. This is where the nearest restaurants are too. The nearby Lodge was fun to hang at for a coffee and some smaller hikes, but note that dinner reservations for the restaurant are advised weeks ahead. We had two young kids with us (8 and 3). Three nights was just right for them.

This is a private, comfortable home base for exploring the Sonoma coast. We cooked for 4 each night without difficulty. At night, out on the deck the star gazing was first rate. After about 8:30 pm it's quiet at Sea Ranch, except for the surf and that's not intrusive. Within a few feet of the driveway there are two well marked hiking trails; one down to the beech and one up to the ridge line, both through spectacular redwoods. We've been coming to the Sonoma coast for decades and have rented many homes. Considering both the product and the price, this home was among the best.

We had a delightfully peaceful stay at Sea Ranch! the location is stunning and the house is architecturally amazing with views of the sea and redwood hikes directly outside the door. In case it's useful - we were traveling with a one year old and the house didn't have any baby stuff (cot, baby gate for the stairs, and high chair), but it might have been something that would have been provided on request. I highly recommend this stay - it's a very special house and sea ranch is a very special place!

This is a beautiful location tucked away in the pine trees but you can still see and hear the ocean. It’s truly the best of both worlds. It’s a nature lovers paradise. We saw dozens of deer and at one point there was a deer and her fawn, two rabbits and a group of quail in the yard at the same time. It was like being in a Disney movie. We’d definitely stay here again.

Our group of two couples and two toddlers had a wonderful experience staying at the Sweet Sea Ranch home. The setting is gorgeous. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was good. Two of the bedrooms are connected by just a curtain, so these rooms work best for a family to share. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals a day. If you are traveling with young children, I recommend bringing a baby gate, as the stairs are steep and very appealing for little ones! Also, just a note, the only bathrooms in the home are downstairs. If you have mobility challenges this may not be the best rental for you. This home is a nature lover’s paradise. We saw a fox, bats, families of deer, quail, woodpeckers, hawks, swallows, jays and warblers coming and going in the yard, and a hiking trail through the redwoods is just steps from the property. Highly recommend staying here if you want a simple and relaxed place retreat in Sea Ranch.

Sweet Sea Ranch was a beautiful and unique home and location. It was exactly what we wanted for our trip to the Pacific coast. We enjoyed everything about the location and the home, especially the quiet and feeling of being in the woods. Every room had plenty of windows so natural light permeated the indoors making it feel like we were part of the trees. We were able to get to hiking locations and various beaches easily, and Gualala was an easy drive for any groceries we needed. It was a peaceful and inspiring vacation.

Beautiful place – the photos really don't capture how magical it feels. Clean, perfectly prepared, and well-stocked with cookware and filters/v60 for pour-over coffee. Also walkable (~20 mins) to Sea Ranch Lodge and the bluffs trails if you can handle some hills on the way back up. Had a lovely weekend.

A very well designed home - comfortable for two couples, and with an excellent semi- kitchen design, pleasant for keeping the conversation going while preparing did but without compromising the living and dining spaces. Great deck views, and overall a tranquil property.

Had a wonderful stay at this sea ranch home. It was perfect for our small group (2 couples plus a baby and child). Many of the rooms have picturesque views and the home is very classic California / midcentury design. We appreciated the record player + stocked records in the living room. Kitchen was well stocked with tools/cookware and the dining table was very cozy. Would stay at again!

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at this gorgeous house. We enjoyed the various balconies and views of redwoods & ocean. The kitchen was perfect for cooking. The beds were very comfortable too. It was right across from the sea ranch lodge which made for convenient amenities throughout the stay. My only complaint is the size and location of the only tv in the living room (too small and low).
