Grateful Getaway | Fireplace and Scenic Views

The house is lovely and has a good floor plan. The house was clean, but lacking in some basics… we are a family of 8.There were not enough bath towels for 8 people left in bathrooms. I discovered some beach towels in a closet that we were able to use as bath towels… but not until the 3rd day. Information about where extra towels were stored would have been helpful.We also had to go to Gualala for toilet paper… some back up rolls at the house would have been helpful.We tried to check in an hour by or 2 early…This was not possible, even though I am fairly certain that the house was ready when we arrived.. ( no one was there cleaning). We also asked for an extra hour to get out on our last morning, but that was not possible. Sea Ranch has a lot of rules which made it challenging for us… we had to ferry cars into Gualala since we arrived from different locations and had more than the 2 car limit… (I do understand that this was do to Sea Ranch rules, not the rental co.)We did very much enjoy the beach and the beauty of the area. And the rental co. Responded quickly to our questions.

Spacious home, great for families. Kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever encountered. I cook and often bring essentials like good pans, knives and spatulas because so few places have such basics but this one does. The only small issue was the master bed was too soft for me, but it was great for my husband.

The house was beautiful and clean! A group of 9 of us had the best weekend. Easy walk to many beaches and lovely table outside. Only thing to note is no TV in the living room! But we used the many games they had and had a screen-less vacation :)

House and location were great. Minor cleanliness issues at the kitchen and shower but these were not a big issue for us. However, EV charging was misrepresented and impacted our trip. An outlet was there but nothing to connect the car to. Asked the host to provide a cable which could have been an easy solution but the host couldn’t help there. We had to use the slow chargers at the Sea Ranch Lodge which meant waiting several hours over multiple sessions which disrupted our short weekend trip.

This place was everything we could have wished for. Very kid friendly, spacious, amazing views, well stocked kitchen, and private. We came during Christmas and even when it rained the place was gorgeous and relaxing. When it was dry we got to walk a very short distance to the trails and beach. We hope to be able to come back soon during summer months.

The house was very spacious and well appointed, all amenities available. Very clean, unusual architecture inside! Loved the long dining table and large kitchen. Wish there had been a quicker walk to the beach and more generous check-in and check-out times. This is one of several houses managed by this company, so the house guide was generic rather than specific to this house, however their response to questions was very fast and helpful - (not sure if a real person or a bot).

The host was very responsive! I told them about the missing towel for our group and she responded right away. The house was clean. Too bad the hot tub was not available during our stay. The kitchen and the bathrooms are fully stocked. They even have laundry pods for us to use. Instructions to check in and check out were clear. We would love to come back and stay with them.

The house is beautifully decorated, and feels very homey and cozy, and still spacious enough for a family with kids. The location is great, with partial ocean views from the living room and the bedrooms. Very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, with the fun bonus of seeing a couple of dear and 3 baby foxes right outside the dining room windows. The only suggestion I would make is to actually have some plants in the interior garden enclosure, which is currently empty and looks a bit sad! 🥹 Nevertheless, the fabulous light coming from the glass enclosure is definitely worth it, even without the plants! We had a wonderful time and will surely be coming back.

This is a big beautiful house walking distance to the bluffs/beach at Sea Ranch. There are two beautiful big bedrooms downstairs which is great for us traveling with seniors that need to avoid stairs! The loft rooms upstairs were cozy. The kitchen is really well stocked & we had everything we needed for 3 nights. While relaxing in the family room we saw coyotes & deer in the yard & could see the ocean. It was lovely!

Great place! Short walk to the beach & got to see pups (seal babies)! Only thing is that there are only 2 cars allowed to park in the driveway. The other car had to park a 6 min drive away. Inconvenient - otherwise, great place!

This house is large, well located, comfortable and welcoming. It is generously furnished with cookware, dinner ware, books, DVDs (even spices and toiletries)...enough to accommodate a good crowd. Some things are showing their age, and some heavy usage--such as the stove, and some of the floors. But the washing machine and dryer were brand new; so the house is actively maintained. The best part (aside from the views of the ocean, deer, and sunsets) was the really responsive service. If needed, there was someone at the house within only a few hours to fix a problem. If you stay here, you should like sunlight, because the many windows will fill the house with light from sunrise to sunset. We also found that the living room benefitted from using the wood stove, as that side of the house was not as warm as the bedrooms. All in all, we stayed almost a month, and it was a good place to call home for that time.

We had a good time at the house. Things were clean and cared for. The one thing i would highly recommend to the owners would be to construct another half bathroom. Even though the house can take 10 people, there are only two bathrooms and one of them is in the master bedroom. That basically leaves 8 people with only one bathroom. Strangely there is a bathroom sink in one of the loft bedrooms, why not build a toilet there. This house is ideally for a family of about 5 -6 people. I would highly recommend to the owners to build another half bathroom at least. Secondly, Sea Ranch by itself is a beautiful place but so many rules. You can only keep two cars on the driveway, lights need to be turned down at night etc. It just does not seem worth all the trouble when there are private homes you can rent for the same price all along highway 1 but without all the strict rules. Nonetheless, nice house, thanks for having us!

I would recommend this home over and over. This home exceeded all our expectations! It was spacious, the beds were comfortable, loads of games for the kids! This home came with lots of dvd’s for everyone! The kitchen is fully stocked! The pictures on the website do not show everything this home offers. The view is incredible and the outdoor space is just as inviting as the inside. Very near to the walking paths and beach access! You’re closer to town for all your extra needs!
