Deer View | Hot Tub & Filtered Ocean Views

Kitchen good - once you locate where items are stored. Kitchen towels are inadequate. They are two black bath hand towels. Absolutely bring your own. We rented this place for 4 adults and 2 young kids. Be sure to carefully look at the bedroom descriptions. The third bedroom is a previous dining room / breakfast nook with a barn door added to it. It is right off the kitchen and adjacent to living room. Makes it challenging to put young kids to bed and have adults visit in living room. Place was clean but worn. Towels and sheets pillows and bedspreads are tired. Several Window screens broken- a raccoon but his paw through the broken screen in the living room at dusk— we scared him off. Made us hesitant to open windows where screens were broken. Decent house desperately in need of a refresh. Location is great. Not much of a view- as accurately stated - but easy walk to several beaches, play structure and bluff trail. Hot tub in front of enclosed patio is delightful. I hesitate to be critical- but overall we were a bit disappointed with the experience. With a refresh - this would be a good place for families with older kids.

Wonderful house. We've stayed here multiple times and hope to return. It's less than a 5-minute walk to the beach and the bluff trail. The meadow view is stunning and there are small views of the ocean. The house is will equipped, clean and the rooms are comfortable. The courtyards and landscaping are lovely and the hot tub is nicely situated. Can't wait to come back!

The location was perfect, beds were comfortable, fireplace was great, hot tub and outdoor space were nice, and house was clean. For the price we felt it lacked charm and coziness. We also felt the kitchen could use an update as many of the utensils/tools were either old or need some care (ie dull knives) or were lacking (only two dish towels for a 3 night stay). We stayed on a holiday weekend and paid nearly 1000 in fees initially (on top of the price of the house) and then were also charged an additional 175 for bringing two dogs, which we weren’t aware of until the day of the reservation. The management company didn’t send the contract until right before we arrived and then texted me a reminder at 2am, which I felt was odd. Overall, we had a great weekend with our friends at this house but there were a few inconveniences that just did not feel consistent with how much we paid.

We had a lovely stay in Sea Ranch at this house. It was very big and great location a quick walk away from the coast and the playground which was great for our family. We also enjoyed the playroom with toys and designated area for the kiddos to play. The hot tub was also fabulous which was on a private deck which he enjoyed. A couple things to be aware of are the WiFi was just ok, and only reaches the main areas of the house, not the two back bedrooms which was a little challenging since I had planned to work there. The other thing is one of the smaller bedrooms is off the kitchen which was a little challenging since we planned to put our 2.5yo in there to sleep so we had to all scatter once he fell asleep to not make too much noise for him to be able to sleep. Not a dealbreaker by any means but something to be aware of.

Its hard not to enjoy sea ranch. The location of this house is really perfect. Easy access to del mar and beaches. If you are looking for classic sea ranch interiors and architecture this is not really the vibe. Grand welcome doesnt really buy into the aesthetic of sea ranch. Everywhere you look on every surface throughout the house you are being threatened by grand welcome with fines and punishment for breaking the rules. Its kind of a bummer honestly. This house is great in a lot of ways but lacking in the interior decorating department. For the amount that i paid i would have loved some classic sea ranch interior vibes and a better outdoor patio to take advantage of the ocean view. But maybe im just a sea ranch princess. All that being said we had a great time.

We've stayed in three other homes at Sea Ranch. Each had its charms. This was our favorite. We were there for several weeks with our two dogs. We liked everything about this home. It was spacious, clean, good amenities. The little courtyard out front was a welcome touch with beautiful plants, some privacy, a little bit of outdoor space for the dogs. Nice hot tub. What makes this home special is its excellent location - short walks to both Walk On Beach and Shell Beach. Well situated in relation to Gualala.Grand Welcome was helpful to work with - much easier than past experiences with Vacasa.In the not everything is perfect department - the Internet doesn't work at all in one bedroom and sparsely in the other (both have nice beds!) The water takes a long time to warm up and if you use too much the entire water will shut off for the house. Schedule showers accordingly.Also - respect the signs about raccoons! They are definitely about and active. We had a Thule on top of our car with footprints leading up to it and had a couple of visual sightings.All in all a really nice stay in a really nice house. Highly recommended.

The house was clean and well out fitted. Great location. Our only problem was the amount of signs pasted all over the house. It truly wrecked the ambiance. There was a sign every three feet. An example of the signs were keep windows closed because of raccoons. Three feet down the wall near the thermostat, don’t touch the thermostat, open the windows. Seriously? I felt I was in a Motel Six in the middle of Nevada. We have never had that experience in Sea Ranch. Other properties put all the notices in a binder which we would have been fine with.

This was a great place for a family of any age. The previous reviews I think understated that there are a lot of pots an pans and kitchen gadgets to make a stay of multiple days very successful. The host was very responsive and we were very pleased with our stay.

The Deer View was very roomy and very comfortable. Had nice outside fenced area for dog. It was clean. The kitchen was great! Bed was comfortable. Nicely furnished throughout. We really enjoyed the simplicity of the decor. Not overdone. Probably the only negative for us was the view. It had a partial view of the water but very little. The house is in close proximity to access to the walking trail and a short walk to a very nice walking beach which we loved. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay there again.

We were four adults and four children here to celebrate the New Year. The location was excellent- we were extremely close to the playground and one of the wider beaches (I'm forgetting the name) perfect for hours and hours of kids having fun. The house is very cozy and it was perfect for all of us. As another guest notes in the review: there are two dedicated bedrooms with doors that close, there is a room with two fold-out couches that has a folding screen you can set up for privacy and there is a room off the kitchen that has a sliding barn-style door. For us, the adults slept in the bedrooms and the kids slept in the room with the fold-out screen. It did mean that at kid bedtime, we were pretty limited in what we could do, since that room is connected and exposed to the kitchen and living room, but for us it worked fine-- but something to note for other groups. The hot tub is wonderful and there's an outdoor shower with hot water. We cooked all our meals easily in the kitchen (to note: supplies are limited, for example, no spices.) Another note: there are lots of games and kid toys and some kid books. Some of the toys are not functional, but our kids still enjoyed the novelty of the items. There's a fire place, though we never used it. There's no speaker system that we could find, so if you enjoy music, you should bring a portable speaker. There are tvs in every room. You'll need to sign in to your own streaming accounts. We greatly enjoyed this home.
