2BR with Loft | Spectacular Oceanview & Hot Tub

We've stayed in Gualala a number of times - it's a favorite getaway spot. Over the years we've booked stays on AirBnB and VRBO everywhere from Sea Ranch to Manchester. While this property is a bit above our usual price range, going forward our search is over - we'll always stay here if it's available. Things we particularly loved: * The view, of course. Situated on a cliff above a rocky shore, lots of sea lions hauled out on the rocks. * Glass. The ocean side of the house is a wall of windows. * Hot tub. It's is a few steps from the edge of the cliff, and surrounded by glass on two sides to shield from the wind. It was spotlessly clean - not a leaf or speck of debris to be seen. * Quality bedding and pillows. * Privacy. Neighbors are far away.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful rustic home overlooking the ocean. The home has so much warmth and character, with lots of natural wood that gives it a cozy and peaceful feel. The hot tub was one of our favorite features. Relaxing in it while enjoying the ocean views was such a treat. The home also had good amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. What we loved most was the peace, quiet, and privacy. It truly feels like a place where you can slow down, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of nature. An added bonus was having the seals as our neighbors. Watching them play and frolic in the ocean below was so much fun and made the experience even more special. This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for beautiful ocean views, privacy, comfort, and a peaceful escape. We would definitely stay here again.

The hot tub with the view is why we booked this place, and it did not disappoint. We spent most of our time out there! It’s large enough to fit 4 adults. The location is very private and the only sounds you’ll hear are the sea lions barking at all hours (provides a great ambience, wont stop you from sleeping or feeling relaxed). The place was clean and has a spacious kitchen and living room area. No disposal, so make sure you plan for that if cooking.

Absolutely amazing privacy and views. We got to watch whales from the cliff perched hot tub during the sunsets and could not have asked for a nicer anniversary weekend. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay in Gualala. House was clean and as stated. We were not expecting the sea lions to be right across from the rental. We could hear them throughout the entire stay. We enjoyed whale watching the entire first day we were there. Trinks cafe downtown was adorable and had wonderful cheesecake!!

Beautiful home with a stunning view. This was our second time in this lovely place. Wonderful to eat outside overlooking the ocean or relax in the hot tub down the hill, listening to the seals below… a magical escape.

We went to this place for my boyfriend's birthday and this was absolutely amazing. There is simply no better view and the house and hot tub let you fully enjoy it. The place is calm, beautiful and I loved watching the wildlife around. We could even hear seals on the nearby rock locations and we were able to see them with the telescope in the bedroom! The host was very helpful and instructions were provided for everything, in message and the book on the counter. The checkout instructions were very simple and let us enjoy our vacation stress free. Thank you for having us and hope we can come back one day!

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time here. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. Kathleen was an excellent host very friendly, responsive, and always quick to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. She made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Stunning location and lovely home. When we stayed, we could hear sea lions 24/7. We watched the ocean from the living room and appreciated the lovely fireplace. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and the hot tub is truly spectacular (and clean). We’d love to stay again, although the 4 PM check-in/10 AM check-out makes this stay less ideal for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful property with incredible location on the cliff above the ocean! Comfortable and cozy inside, with great hot tub and firepit outside. We appreciated the glass surround to break the wind and make it peaceful there. Management was very responsive and friendly. The walk to nearest shops and coffee is less than a mile but along Highway 1 with little shoulder around the bends. Better to drive!

Beautiful, secluded, house overlooking the Pacific.. with lovely views from the living room, master bedroom, and loft room. Immense kitchen made food preparation easy, lots of utensils, dishes, and glassware. The Bose surround sound system was a treat (bring CDs if you want music). The hot tub, down the hill from the house at cliff’s edge was a wonderful plus. A very enjoyable stay in a stunning spot.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. It is hard to describe how peaceful, cozy and serene our stay was. The house has a modern cabin vibe. Very clean, with modern amenities. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable, which is rare. The outside area is the best part. There are several sitting areas, including a hot-tub which is right on the edge of the cliff, a short walk from the house. It overlooks rugged coastline and the Fish Rock island. I would gladly stay here again!

We stayed for the weekend and spent most of the time just in awe of the view from this house. Being able to hot tub on the top of the cliff was the highlight. The house had everything we needed. This is not a pristine house that’s just been redone (as you can tell from the photos) but it’s clean, very comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. We especially appreciated all the games and puzzles for when we could take our eyes off of the view. Highly recommend this house if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing time to rest your mind and be cozy! Oh and you may hear the sea lions chatting away which we loved! Arf, arf!

The true gem of this place is the jacuzzi, offering a stunning ocean view accompanied by the howling and barking of sea lions. Whether during the day, at sunset, or under a starry night sky, it feels incredibly peaceful. A thoughtfully placed glass wind barrier surrounds the jacuzzi, providing comfort without blocking the view, and the pathway leading to it is beautifully lit. Very responsive host. Nicely maintained place.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Haven’s View. This is my honest review. First, the views are spectacular! When we walked in the door the first thing we noticed was the smell of mildew. The house looks super bright in the photos but it was pretty dark. Lots of trees stop the sun from coming thru plus it was a cloudy day. It was very clean but stains on the couch gave me an unclean feeling. Again, it was clean other than the stains on the couch. It’s just my preference. The stove needs to be fixed. When you turn the right side on it will click the whole time. Pots and pans should be replaced, the nonstick is gone. The lights down to the hot tub did not work so we did not use it at night. Also something to note. We were coming from the Bay Area and the turn into the driveway is very sharp and if you have a larger vehicle you can’t make it on that turn. We had to go up the road and take it from a different angle. The upside is the amazing view, makes up for a lot.

This location is stunning. Right on the bluff, pretty private - the neighbors are barely visible and not too close. Very clean house, the kitchen is really well equip, though the nonstick pans could use replacing. The views from the primary bedroom and the living room are everything you want. The hot tub location makes this place worth every penny. This is the perfect place for a restorative getaway.

The view is fabulous. Property is private, peaceful and quiet so sound of crashing waves can lull one to sleep. We enjoyed use of well equipped kitchen over Christmas and reveled in one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen our first night. Even with overcast conditions it still was enjoyable. Great hikes nearby (Point Arena and Gualala state park). Beds were very comfortable. (bunk beds are full size!!) We enjoyed reading by the fireplace, doing puzzles on dining room table and our adult daughter thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and its amazing location. For anyone with mobility challenges if you can navigate down 6 steps (4 with railing, 2 without) the rest of time can be on one level with one exception. The master bathroom (and only bathroom on main floor with two bedrooms) has a sunken tub! If you can navigate a large step down it’s fine. Also, the closets are narrow and only provide space for hanging clothes - no dressers at all, so plan accordingly. Would definitely go back!

Great comfortable home with incredible views! We used the grill, hot tub, fire pit, and fireplace and all worked well and were easy to use. The home was clean and MOSTLY well-stocked. There were plenty of dishes and kitchen utensils but very limited dish soap and trash bags, which was challenging because we cooked a lot while we were there. Be aware that the stove runs on propane- we found that it did not get very hot. The grill was great though! We found the beds and large couch to be very comfortable! We plan to stay again.

We loved this place! The hot tub overlooking the coast was breathtaking. The views from the rooms were amazing as well. Everything was so helpfully labeled so it was easy to find what we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. Everyone in the town of Gualala was so welcoming and helpful.
