We had the most amazing stay! The home was private, the views were exceptionally beautiful. We felt like we were in a treehouse! The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. The local community was fun to explore and welcoming. There were so many beaches that were close to the house. It made it possible to see many in the weekend. We were here. Trinks café is out of this world. The loft was perfect for picking up my knitting project for the weekend for my birthday. Thank you for everything.

We loved this cabin! Similar to others we had some difficulties with the pellet heater, but the host sent someone over in less than 30 minutes when we asked for help! We will definitely be coming back here! Super cozy and peaceful

My husband, myself & our furry companion loved this get away spot for our adventure. We visited a different beach every day. Enjoyed local recommendations from folks we talked to & read. Had a wonderful "date night" with excellent food & a movie. The host is an amazing communicator. The home was perfect for what we needed for space & accommodations. The peace & view of the woods we had was such a blessing. Our dog, unfortunately, had not been a great guest our last night & caused damage. Point is, our host still wanted to make sure we had a great stay & that we enjoyed we our journey. Not many would have a kind reaction to such news. We are most grateful for that. Gorgeously positioned in the woods, this vintage A-frame cabin offers lovely views and convenient access to Sea Ranch/Gualala. Also the thoughtfully equipped kitchen made home-cooking enjoyable. The heating arrangement is a bit unconventional but cozy, a quirky mix that adds character. The only snag: we just wish greater flexibility around check-in and check-out times.

This place radiates peace. It’s surrounded by beautiful woods just up the hill from the coastline. The long driveway makes it feel secluded away from the street, but still easy to find. There are plenty of blankets and pillows to get cozy and a nice big pellet stove to warm the home as a whole. Comfy beds and couch made nights and naps delightful! And the deck has the perfect amount of sun in the early afternoons for a nice sit outside. We absolutely loved our anniversary trip out to this property! Felt right at home. This is a place where it’s easy to find rest as long as you allow yourself to slow down.

Enchanting little A frame — we had a great time cooking together, visiting the farmers market, gazing up at the trees as the sunset filtered in. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and functional pans. There were just a few nits — the first aid kit had no band aids (they were responsive when we told them), mattress was pretty beat/sloped in, remote was running out of batteries and no response there, some nightlights flickering. Not all big issues (esp for the price we paid) but just to give some color/idea of the place.

Brought wife here for her birthday weekend. We LOVED this cozy space in the forest. There are neighbors, but you really don't notice them. The pellet stove was simple and intuitive to figure out, and once you set it, just let it run and add pellets occasionally. The downstairs bed wasn't super comfy, but the bed in the loft was much better. We drove up to Point Arena and visited the B Bryan Preserve animal sanctuary- highly recommended! We loved that we could hear sea lions way down at the beach. It would be a steep walk down there, but it's a short drive. We agreed that we WILL stay here again!

Rustic, mid-century, A-frame cabin in the woods above Anchor Bay. Well furnished, but small. Good for 2 people but would not fit any more people comfortably. The pellet-burning heater is not exactly intuitive but we got it to work and it kept the place cozy. We have stayed at lots of locations along the Mendocino/Sonoma Coast and if you are on a budget, this place is fine. If you want more modern amenities, more room, and ocean view, and you can pay a bit, but not a lot, more, there are other places that fit the bill. Minor annoyances - asked to take the garbage to the curb on trash day; Check-in not until 4 PM and Check-out at 10 AM seems a bit unusual.

Decent stay in retro A-frame located in a peaceful residential location just up from the beach. Spacious and clean except for the pots and pans which were unusableble which the host quickly replaced with a new set. Otherwise the kitchen was equipped for light cooking as restaurant options are limited. The pellet stove came in handy on cool mornings but was a bit noisy and the uncomfortable beds unfortunately made for some restless nights. All being said the location & peaceful surroundings made up for the inconveniences.

We really loved this house and the location. The space is beautiful and cozy, and that view out the windows and from the deck—perfect for a few days of reading and relaxing. Bring some slippers for those tile floors, and you’ll be set. We only did a few nights, but talked about how great this would be for a longer getaway, too. Recommend!

We live a few houses away and rented the house for overflow guests on the 4th of July week. We were fine with a 4:00 check-in, but received an email that stated "if the property becomes available earlier, we will let you know immediately". We didn't ask for an early check in, but saw the cleaning crew at the house at around 8:30 and they were gone before, 10:00. I emailed the host and let her know that we were next door and saw that the house was empty and the cleaning crew was gone. She said that it wasn't ready yet. We waited the rest of the day and never saw anyone else come to the property but never received permission to enter early as was stated in the email. I don't appreciate being lied to to make yourself look good. If they have no intention of early check-ins, don't act like you do or say you do.

The area beautiful and everything about it was stunning. Only wished there was a BBQ kinda how it said at the house instructions, but other than that everything work amazing. Wifi and the stove worked flawlessly and the place just felt homey and alive. all and all a great stay

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming A-frame near Mendocino. Tucked into the redwoods, it felt peaceful — like a forest fairytale. Peaceful cabin in the woods near the coast and Hwy 1. Good location for visiting Gualala/Anchor Bay/Point Arena. Dog friendly; well stocked kitchen, which is necessary as most restaurants in the area close around 5pm. Plenty of grocery stores nearby as well. Beautiful interior with 2 beds and 1 bathroom, spacious living room and large deck. My only issue was with the heating. The pellet stove was not working and had to use a space heater for the first night. The management team was responsive in the am and came out to fix it. The heater still turned off during the night (after the fix) on night 2 and woke up to a cold cabin. Not the most efficient heating system for a cold location, but overall a good place.

We stayed a here for two nights for my husband’s birthday. It was the perfect little getaway from the busy day to day life for just the two of us. Very quiet area. Very cozy house. Loved the A-frame style and how open it was. The kitchen had great utensils and cooking gadgets. The pellet stove heat up the place perfectly. We would love to come back and stay for longer to really enjoy the solitude.

Most of all, we appreciated the peace and quiet of the location--just what we were hoping for! We had excellent communication with our host during our stay. As an example, the morning after our arrival, we encountered difficulty (even though the instructions were very easy to follow and understand--due to our lack of experience using pellet stoves) with getting the stove to generate steady heat. After messaging Grand Welcome to ask for guidance/assistance we received a very swift response and--within a few hours--a maintenance staff person had been out to our property, rectified the issue and quickly addressed as well as tutored us on how to properly operate the stove. We definitely hope to return for future stays.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to R&R. Super cozy and charming, a wonderful getaway if you live in the city. There is a neighbor closeby as written in reviews, but I quite liked their proximity- as things are so secluded it provided peace of mind. The pellet stove was the highlight of our stay, we thought it would be a hassle but it turned out to be the best part of getting back to the Airbnb. So quiet and gave us a chance to connect with the surrounding nature. Thank you for the wonderful stay!!

Had a very nice stay at this A-frame cabin. Was clean, spacious and nicely situated. Two things to note: heat was tough, the pellet stove worked well but the cabin was not very well-insulated and took a while to warm up. Second, the kitchen could have been better stocked/appointed. The cookware wasn't in great shape, and there weren't any basics like salt, pepper, or oil. Nice space, but kind of no-frills over all. Beautiful location.

This was an excellent experience! As to an earlier review regarding privacy, I beg to differ. There are blinds that can (and should) be drawn between the lower level bedroom and the bathroom. And while residents may be visible to neighbors eating at the dinner table, that's only if the neighbors are there, and if they're out on their deck. The rest of the lower level is private. Some advice I should share about better managing heat in an A-frame during the cold months: sleep upstairs (heat rises) close door to first floor bedroom, if not needed close blinds upstairs close blinds near first floor bedroom close blinds in bathroom make sure glass shutters on the left side of main windows are totally shut make sure pellet reservoir is full before you go to bed set stove to medium (more heat than low with negligibly more noise) use space heater (set to rotate)

One of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed! Love the view of the redwoods and the architecture / interior design of the home. Place was great. Air bnbs often have better pictures than when you arrive but the pictures don’t do this place justice. Furniture was great and the place was so cozy the whole experience was very enjoyable.

My husband and I really enjoyed the rustic A-Frame cabin. It was stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend getaway and had a beautiful view. We took daily walks in the quiet, redwood lined neighborhood. The location is a short drive to beaches and hiking trails. Do note this is a rustic cabin and the main source of heat is a finicky pellet stove. Overall we loved the accommodations and plan to return.

Wonderful little cabin! We had a very relaxing visit watching it rain through the big windows. Wished they had a door mat inside so we weren’t tracking wet footprints through the house. Had to leave quickly on our final day when the water went out, but aside from that, a lovely getaway!

We came to relax and that's exactly what we did. This wonderful little A-frame was clean, cozy, and felt like it was a million miles from anything, when in reality we were a few miles from town. The view out the windows was breathtaking at times. We would love to rent it again when we need to be energized.
