The lack of a proper dishwaher should have been noted. The one there was extremely small, and had to be moved and hooked up to the sink with hoses. The dishgwasher was in the sitting area next to the couch, but it is not shown in the photo for the unit. We did not use it. It seems ill-advised to me to make this hook up and leave it running when leaving the unit ad advised in the check out instructions. We had to stand on the bed to turn on the light and fan in the bedroom. Wires for the bedroom TV hang loose on the wall under the TV. The room instructions need to be updated. They talk about a door lock brand that it not even on the door. The chair in the sitting area is not comfortable - the rigid support across the front of the chair pushed into your legs.

You're right that the dishwasher situation should have been clearer. We've updated the listing and photos to accurately reflect the dishwasher setup, and we've revised the checkout instructions so guests are no longer asked to reconnect it. We've also updated the room instructions overall, including correcting the door lock details, so everything now matches the actual unit. On the maintenance side, we've addressed the loose wires under the bedroom TV and are reviewing the bedroom light and fan switches so they're easier to reach. We're also taking another look at the seating in the sitting area to make it more comfortable. Feedback like yours is exactly what helps us get these details right, and we hope you might give us another chance down the road.

My partner and I loved our stay here! It is right on a gorgeous and quiet beach, with abundant wildlife. Overall, the stay was great, although we did have a mishap with the door -- one of us (me) accidentally locked the bottom lock when leaving, which, to my dismay, we discovered was not controlled by the key code. We tried to contact the management team with no luck, and the front office also did not have a spare key. So we had to pay hundreds out of pocket for a locksmith. When the management team did respond the next day, they said, "There should be no bottom lock." Funny. Anyway, it was mainly our mistake, so as long as you don't lock the bottom lock, you should have a fantastic stay lol. We will definitely be staying at this location again, we really loved it!!

I needed a getaway, and this was a perfect choice, I was able to walk to the beach each morning. I want far from popular restaurants and attractions. The area was nice and secluded so I was able to get some much needed rest. I would definitely come again.

The place didn’t seem well maintained. After loading the dishwasher and trying to run it, I let the manager know that it wasn’t working. The response was. Oh don’t use it. It’s being replaced the end of the week. I would have liked to have know that before because I wasn’t wanting to wash dishes on my vacation. Bedroom wall light switch didn’t work so I had to stand on the bed to get the light on and off. The toilet bowl seat wasn’t bolted down. No hot pads or pot holders which I didn’t know until I needed to pull a hot pan from the oven. Only one dish towel and one dish rag.

It was scheduled for replacement the week following your stay but was functioning well enough during the inspection prior to your stay. Had we known it would fail during your visit, we absolutely would have informed you ahead of time. Pot holders are stocked in the kitchen, and we would have been happy to help locate them had we known you were having trouble finding them. Instructions on actual location of the apartment was not easy to find getting in when it was dark. Found the apartment as it was in an apartment complex with multiple buildings we found ourselves on the 3rd floor with no elevator. It was extremely difficult to get our luggage up as we pack heavy...it was the only complaint I have. It was hard on the knees and back constantly up and down throughout the day. The apartment was nice and pictures were accurate. The apartment had everything you would need during your stay and more. Overall a nice place to stay.

We have stayed several times at The Spa on Port Royal and this time was just as enjoyable as all of the others. Easy check-in. Short walk to the beach. Lots to do on resort as well; 3 pools, hot tub, tennis courts, cornhole, and shuffleboard.
