This home sleeps 8 guests between 4 private bedrooms.

Bedroom #1 has 2 twin size beds.

Bedroom #2 has a full size bed.

Bedroom #3 has 2 twin size beds.

Bedroom #4 is the primary suite with a king size bed, tv, and ensuite bathroom with shower/tub combo.

- Primary renter must be 25 or older and present at the property throughout the reservation
- 1 parking space is available in the carport (small vehicles recommended).
- Washer and dryer in unit.
- This is a 2nd floor unit & the property beneath on the first floor is a separate home.
- The front patio is shared with the lower unit.
- The home has an additional bathroom with walk-in shower.
- Please note that this home can accommodate up to 2 Dogs, with an additional Pet Fee of $250. This fee is not included in your final booking price. If you are bringing Dogs, please contact our Customer Care Team after booking to pay the pet fee.

This home is located on Balboa Island, a perfect location to explore all the best of Newport Beach with even more to do in nearby Corona Del Mar and Huntington Beach. It is a 2 minute walk to the quaint shops and restaurants on the island. Also a short walk to the ferry which takes you to the Fun zone and Balboa Pier. Grand Canal Getaway is a mere 4 miles from the Newport Beach Pier and only 2.5 miles from the Corona Del Mar State Beach Park. Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach day, an action-packed adventure, or just some Southern California living, we've got you covered. Early check-in and late checkout are based on availability and require approval, and may be subject to an additional fee of up to $60.00 depending on the number of additional hours requested. Our family really enjoyed staying here and it was great for our family of varying ages and abilities. (We ranged from one and a half to almost 75: three generations all together, plus pets.). It felt safe and cozy. Other than we did bring a dog gate to keep the little ones from the stairs. The portable gate was also useful for creating a separate space for the dog as well. So bring those if you have a similar situation. We really liked the proximity to the water with the views, the proximity to the shops, the ease and beauty of the walk to the ferry. The house itself was very functional and fun and we loved the vaulted ceiling in the living room. Highly recommend — all in all, would stay here again.

Great place! My employees and I were in town for a conference, and rather than staying at the conference hotel, we opted to stay on Balboa Island just about a 5-minute drive away. Best decision! The location was perfect — walkable to tons of shops and restaurants, beautiful views on the water, and such a fun area to explore. The neighbors were incredibly friendly and even offered to let us hang out on their docks. We had plenty of space for our group and really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would note for future guests is that you do not have access to the lower floor or garage. I don’t remember seeing that clearly noted in the listing, so it was a little unexpected when we arrived. It didn’t take away from our stay, but it would be helpful to know beforehand. Overall, we had a great time and were very happy we chose Balboa Island over the conference hotel. Would definitely recommend!

The property was very clean, and the management/customer service was excellent—extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The air conditioning was also a definite plus during an unusually warm few days, and the home provides plenty of bedroom and bathroom space. The rooftop deck and canal location are nice features as well. That said, having stayed on Balboa Island for many years, this property just wasn’t a fit for us. One of the things we love most about Balboa is the charm and character of the homes, and this property feels much more basic and utilitarian than what we have experienced elsewhere on the island. The photos are accurate, but I don’t think we fully appreciated from them just how little of that quintessential Balboa feeling the property has. The downstairs outdoor space is also shared, which is something I would want to be aware of when booking. For the price point, we expected a considerably more special overall experience and felt the property was very expe

Great location, okay house. Furnishing and upkeep a mess. Furniture broken down or broken, windows broken, ceiling fan broken, shower broken, toaster broken, front door lock and handle broken. Kitchen supplies, pots and pans old and flimsy - not matching mostly to scratched or damaged to cook. Patio dirty and covered in weeds and food. Outdoor shower also no faucet twin beds loud and creaky. Reported numerous concerns immediately and they didn’t fix or discount.

Very clean. The kitchen is very small and they only have a Mr Coffee maker. You must bring your own coffee grounds. Overall a good experience. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Great view and easy access to Marine Ave shops and dining. An umbrella for the front porch would be helpful for morning sun.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Canal House in Newport Beach, California, for three nights, and it exceeded all expectations. The home was immaculate, exactly as described, and offered a spacious, comfortable environment that truly felt like a home away from home. Perfect for our girls weekend with 6 people. Great location for walking and enjoying the view from the big picture window. We were out and about all day, and really just slept here, and hung out in the morning and evenings a bit. Small kitchen, but served our needs for breakfast in. Walking to shops and Resturant's was easy. Super small parking spot, for one car- we were worried about finding street parking but were lucky to find spots easily every day! (Maybe harder other times if the year?) Comfortable beds, nice showers.

The house was nice, living room was large with a great view. Kitchen was very small and not properly furnished with enough cooking utensils or pans, so bring your own. Nice dining room table but light didnt work so you eat in the dark. Various outlets didnt work the same with various lights thru out house. Beds were comfy and house was clean. Toilet in master did not work. Carport is a joke so you might have to park on street.

I would definitely stay here again. The kids had a great time running around in the canal at low tide. The beds were comfortable and the patio spaces were lovely. The kitchen is small and not for serious cooking but the grill is excellent.

Kitchen too small for a 4 bedroom. Furniture not beachy or welcoming or cozy. Only sitting area is big leather couch . More seating options in living room would be nice. Big Italian hutch is useless. Place is not pleasing to the eye. Cannot recommend

Wow what a great place to stay for a large group (up to 8 comfortably) on Balboa Island. The apartment has great views at both ends of the unit - a lovely spot facing south to watch the walkers and paddlers along the Grand Canal and a lovely deck with BBQ facing north. The set-up provides a great space for the group to gather indoors as well and the well set-up kitchen allows you to cook at home. Be aware that the houses are quite close together in this quiet, residential neighbourhood. There are plenty of places to have night-time fun (ie after 9pm) nearby. The host was a great communicator, offering access to extra services for the beach as well as beach towels. It was the perfect spot to come home to after a day at the beach, on the links or whatever floats your boat in Newport Beach.

The location is superb, the property itself is spacious and has a beautiful view of the canal, and the host was extremely nice and helpful. Overall great stay. Great location. Only issue was having no garage parking spot as advertised. Only parking is a very small spot next to garage that is difficult to access and very very small. We had a Toyota Camry and it was a little long for the spot. Plan accordingly.

Our family, 2 adults 2 tweens and a dog, had a great time here at Grand Canal. Locations is great and view is even better. Having a designated parking spot is a great bonus, our Jeep Grand Cherokee fit just fine. We had plenty of the basics to get us through our 4 day trip, plenty of towels, blankets, tp, mini shampoo and bar soap, dishwasher pods and washing machine pods. Phil and his crew at Grand Welcome were very responsive and great to work with. We look forward to our next trip.

First off: there is only room for a small car, one parking spot - the description is wrong. It is only a car port that will fit a SMALL sedan, think Honda Civic size. Second: the patio pictured with couches on the boardwalk is misleading. You have about a 4’ square box that seats 4 people outside the access door to the unit, the remaining patio is the downstairs tenant’s space. Our stay was enjoyable, bedrooms and bathrooms were good, spacious living room. Wifi was tricky, did not initially show up as listed and took a day to connect to the Roku. View from the living room is gorgeous and the neighborhood is very walkable. Being pet friendly was a bonus and I was thankful for the small side yard area because the island itself doesn’t have much potty space for dogs. Of all the numbers provided for contact, I had the mist luck with Phil.

We loved our stay at this home on Balboa Island. The home has a great view of the Grand Canal and a patio that opens to the promenade around the island. It is a short walk to shops and restaurants and an beautiful walk to the ferry to Newport peninsula. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The home is impeccably clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location! Everything is very walkable. We enjoyed the space, there were just a couple things that were a very minor inconvenience, but the team took care of it in a timely manor. Overall, would recommend! Beautiful island :)

We had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Canal House in Newport Beach, California, for three nights, and it exceeded all expectations. The home was immaculate, exactly as described, and offered a spacious, comfortable environment that truly felt like a home away from home. The surroundings were beautiful, and the location was ideal—just a pleasant walk to local shops and dining options. We would highly recommend this property and would certainly stay here again.

Perfect for our girls weekend with 6 people. Great location for walking and enjoying the view from the big picture window. We were out and about all day, and really just slept here, and hung out in the morning and evenings a bit. Small kitchen, but served our needs for breakfast in. Walking to shops and Resturant's was easy. Super small parking spot, for one car- we were worried about finding street parking but were lucky to find spots easily every day! (Maybe harder other times if the year?) Comfortable beds, nice showers.

The house was nice, living room was large with a great view. Kitchen was very small and not properly furnished with enough cooking utensils or pans, so bring your own. Nice dining room table but light didnt work so you eat in the dark. Various outlets didnt work the same with various lights thru out house. Beds were comfy and house was clean. Toilet in master did not work. Carport is a joke so you might have to park on street.

The hosts were excellent. Very responsive and accommodating. The unit was very clean with easy access to everything. It was wonderful to be able to walk to anything we needed and in such a lovely setting! Thank you for a wonderful time away.

We loved our stay! We had two families and plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The home was comfortable, and a great location! A little earlier check in than 4pm would be nice for people, but we made it work and we will definitely book again when we return! Thanks for everything!

I would definitely stay here again. The kids had a great time running around in the canal at low tide. The beds were comfortable and the patio spaces were lovely. The kitchen is small and not for serious cooking but the grill is excellent.

Kitchen too small for a 4 bedroom. Furniture not beachy or welcoming or cozy. Only sitting area is big leather couch . More seating options in living room would be nice. Big Italian hutch is useless. Place is not pleasing to the eye. Cannot recommend

Wow what a great place to stay for a large group (up to 8 comfortably) on Balboa Island. The apartment has great views at both ends of the unit - a lovely spot facing south to watch the walkers and paddlers along the Grand Canal and a lovely deck with BBQ facing north. The set-up provides a great space for the group to gather indoors as well and the well set-up kitchen allows you to cook at home. Be aware that the houses are quite close together in this quiet, residential neighbourhood. There are plenty of places to have night-time fun (ie after 9pm) nearby. The host was a great communicator, offering access to extra services for the beach as well as beach towels. It was the perfect spot to come home to after a day at the beach, on the links or whatever floats your boat in Newport Beach.

Great place. Perfect location on the island. Elevator on the ground floor so it’s easy to get people and items upstairs. Loved looking over the canal. Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of bedrooms and beds.

very nice place and area. No issues other than not being able to get in until 4:30 PM due to cleaning running late and no wine glasses (actually there were 2). Overall, we really enjoyed it.

Or stay was short but great. The place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The Main Street is cute with a lovely set of shops. We went out early a couple mornings for coffee and pastries. Would definitely recommend!

The location is perfect, right by a bodega with everything you need and plenty of restaurants. The view is spectacular, made the place so worth it! Super clean airbnb and area as well, really quiet at night but busy during the day

Myself and six friends stayed here for Spring Break and it was such an enjoyable experience. The location is superb, the property itself is spacious and has a beautiful view of the canal, and the host was extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay in Balboa or close to Newport.

Overall great stay. Great location. Only issue was having no garage parking spot as advertised. Only parking is a very small spot next to garage that is difficult to access and very very small. We had a Toyota Camry and it was a little long for the spot. Plan accordingly.

Our family, 2 adults 2 tweens and a dog, had a great time here at Grand Canal. Locations is great and view is even better. Having a designated parking spot is a great bonus, our Jeep Grand Cherokee fit just fine. We had plenty of the basics to get us through our 4 day trip, plenty of towels, blankets, tp, mini shampoo and bar soap, dishwasher pods and washing machine pods. Phil and his crew at Grand Welcome were very responsive and great to work with. We look forward to our next trip.

First off: there is only room for a small car, one parking spot - the description is wrong. It is only a car port that will fit a SMALL sedan, think Honda Civic size. Second: the patio pictured with couches on the boardwalk is misleading. You have about a 4’ square box that seats 4 people outside the access door to the unit, the remaining patio is the downstairs tenant’s space. Our stay was enjoyable, bedrooms and bathrooms were good, spacious living room. Wifi was tricky, did not initially show up as listed and took a day to connect to the Roku. View from the living room is gorgeous and the neighborhood is very walkable. Being pet friendly was a bonus and I was thankful for the small side yard area because the island itself doesn’t have much potty space for dogs. Of all the numbers provided for contact, I had the mist luck with Phil.

We loved our stay at this home on Balboa Island. The home has a great view of the Grand Canal and a patio that opens to the promenade around the island. It is a short walk to shops and restaurants and an beautiful walk to the ferry to Newport peninsula. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The home is impeccably clean. We would definitely stay here again!
