Although Athens is the highly regarded hometown of the Dawgs, it’s much more than just an awesome college town. Visitors will love strolling through campus and cheering on the red-and-black at one of the town’s many football bars, but Athens is also one of the most predominant cultural hubs in the state of Georgia.

The city boasts iconic historical establishments like the Morton Theater, one of the first and still operational vaudeville theaters to be built, owned, and operated by an African American. Other notable institutions of the arts include the Georgia Museum of Art and the Georgia Theater. USA Today named Athens as one of the most underrated food destinations in the country, and you’ll want to take an extensive food tour of the local spots to understand why. Follow that with a bar hop to popular breweries and you’ll know why Athens is loved by locals, visitors, and college students alike.

This was a great place to stay for two families going to the UGA game. It’s close to downtown but not amongst the chaos. The house was a great size for 7 of us. The teenagers got the larger room with bunks and was great for their own space. The price is what it is, but it was homecoming in Athens so that’s to be expected. Thanks for letting us stay. Super cute and spacious for our weekend!

Older her home with some nice updates, plenty spacious. Bedspreads looked dirty, but sheets were clean. Sits on very busy road, good bit of outdoor noise at night and early in the morning. Conveniently located walking distance to a Dollar General (in case you forgot something like coffee creamer) and quick to be at most eating/entertainment.

Grand Welcome was completely comfortable and perfectly convenient for our weekend in Athens. Lots of room for comfortable lounging. It's in a somewhat commercial area, along a busy road, and there are no sidewalks. Not a cozy residential neighborhood, if that's important.

It was a great stay, perfect for the size of our group! The only thing I would say is the couch and the sheets in the master bedroom had stains. We also found a few ladybugs in the loft area. Other than that, everything was great!

This was a beautiful and spacious home, however, the location wasn’t great. It’s right off of a busy highway and somewhat dangerous pulling in and out of. The traffic was also very loud. The kitchen had bare minimum for cooking. The bedrooms and living room were both cozy and I loved the bonus room for the kids to hang out. There were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer which was a huge plus.

I was so pleased with this house. I love that it was private. We all loved walking to the dollar general store. The host was very welcoming and answered very quickly. I loved that it was plenty of towels and wash cloths. We will be booking again!! There was plenty of outdoor space. The only con I had was, no HDMI port on the tv in the livingroom and 2 of the bedrooms didn't have a TV. We made it work and still had so much fun being there for my son that graduated from UGA with his BSA in Horticulture!! #GoDawgz

The host of this listing was amazing! I travel with a team, and we had one of our other Airbnbs fall through pretty last-minute, and they were willing to work with us for sleeping arrangements. It was super easy to communicate with them, and they made sure that we were all taken care of! The house was nice and very welcoming. The only slight issue we had was that the couches had stains but other than that very good trip with them!

This was our 4th or 5th stay here. We were very disappointed. The couch was stained and dirty. The linens on all the beds had stains and looked unclean. The night stand in the second bedroom is loose and will break if touched too strongly. The comforters very also stained and dingy. It saddened me because this is our go to house. We hope you can clean these u and we can stay again soon.

Great house for 10. Fully furnished and cozy. Probably the largest ranch style home I seen. We all enjoyed the stay and will rebook when we come back to Athens!

Property was close to all UGA sports venues and easily gotten to. Looks a little rough on the outside, and the house is very easy to miss, but the inside was very impressive. Trash was supposed to be picked up the day of our arrival, but was overflowing from the previous renters.

I had 5 people in town for a 3 day job. We needed an earlier check in due to what time we needed to be on the job site. We contacted the rental company and they were very responsive and helped us out. The house worked out great,

Second visit. Accommodations were great. A few bugs around. Odd characters walking by, but no issues. Management company sent all communications late so I did not have entry directions on time and exit directions showed up 5 hours after required exit time.
