This property is new and clean with pretty furnishings but we won’t be back. The sofa was supposed to pull out to a double bed but it didn’t. Nobody would come out to help us with that. This left one of us sleeping on a pretty hard, regular couch. When I asked about compensation for this I was given a credit for less than 10% of what we spent.Upstairs the AC would not regulate. It took 6 hours to cool off and then it still wouldn’t stay at a regulated temperature the whole time. No ceiling fan. When I asked for help, our contact replied, “seem fine this morning”. It’s also really out in the outskirts with nothing to look at except a road and the outside walls of the other units. Then they asked us to strip the beds and take out the trash for them at check out…check out is at 10 am.So, cute place but no vacation vibes, fairly inhospitable, and not what they claim in terms of beds.

We stayed here for a work trip for me. It was a very convenient location to my work as well as to many stores and restaurants. Downtown Gruene and New Braunfels was a short car ride away. My husband worked remotely from this location and had no issues. It was a very nice home and we truly enjoyed it! The host was easy to reach and answered questions quickly. Plenty of parking close to the door. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

Excellent vacation home! Fantastic location right behind Bucees—super close to shopping, dining, and river floating. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

This is a very nice house to stay in on any trip to New Braunsfels!! Very clean. Communication was perfect, even at 11pm!! I had friends stop by on their way to a resort and they couldn’t stop saying how much nicer the house was. We will be back, thank you!

We enjoyed our stay and it was extremely clean and the AC worked great! (Which is a plus in Texas!) We had a few suggestions for the owner if there we 5-6 people staying such as having a few more towels and blanket. But they were very receptive to making those changes. We felt very SAFE in this area which is a huge plus. It was its own house and not in an apartment complex (which we have made that mistake before). Feeling safe was huge! We were very close to so many things. Not far from Schlitterbahn and any amenity that you might need. Movie Theater, shopping, ice cream, pickleball! Great place to stay and we will certainly be using this rental again.

We had a fantastic stay at Grand Welcome New Braunfels! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall location was good for all attractions in New Braunfels. Was only about a 10 min drive to anything. Unit was new and very well decorated with nice accommodations. One comment that should be clearly noted in the listing is that the unit is not close to parking, so we had to carry our stuff a small distance to the front door. The beds are also small for a nice 2 BR unit, so would be definitely 5 stars if king beds, but we made it work. Check-in was easy and good communication. One other item that was not ideal is their check-in and check-out times, which are 4 PM and 10 AM. This unit should be able to be cleaned in 3 hours, so if you cleaning crew is only 1 or 2 people and it takes longer, then use a bigger crew and not make the paying guests hassle with odd times. More typical times like hotels for 3 PM and 11 AM would be much better. Overall rating for this unit is 4 stars.

That said, a few of your comments warrant clarification. The size of each bed is clearly listed in the Airbnb description before booking, so there should have been no surprises at check-in. As for the parking, the walk from the designated area to the front door is roughly 50 feet—which is very reasonable and typical for a garden home-style community. Our check-in and check-out times (4 PM and 10 AM) are standard across the short-term rental industry and allow our team the time they need to properly clean and prepare the home. We do accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests when possible, though we didn’t receive any such request from you. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and for the overall positive review. We'd love the opportunity to host you again in the future.

This was a perfect quick place to stay that was warm but not full of stuff. Super clean, easy to get to everything but not right in the hustle. Close to stores and food. No old food or condiments in fridge. Only downsides: neighbor across the street has a dog that barks a ton, and there’s lots and lots of natural light. Great for daytime, hard to sleep in. Little kids on couch sofa woke up at like 6am with the sunlight. Beautiful large front door window but as soon as the sun hits they were up. Consider bringing hotel hack curtains if you’re trying to get them to sleep in. Master bedroom just gets a ton of light from square picture windows as well. Super bright daylight once dawn hits. Rise and shine!!

Staying here was the easiest/most convenient part of our trip! Perfectly in the middle between Austin & San Antonio, we were able to get to both cities easily! The Airbnb felt brand new, super clean, and the perfect getaway!

We had a great time here. Really great spot, especially for the price. Very clean and homey. Only critique is that there was no salt and pepper but other than that it was perfect!

It was a great experience and a lovely place to stay. The location was nice and peaceful with lots of shopping nearby. The staff was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. We would definitely stay here again.

What a quaint little home nestled in a cute neighborhood close to everything. We truly enjoyed our stay always nice to be in a home when supporting our traveling ball player! Thank you for the hospitality and special amenities

Very responsive. We couldn’t get in one night (maybe operator error with the keypad). We called the number for help and were assisted quickly and within a few minutes were able to get back in. The house is as described. Great location. We arrived to some welcome shacks. Kitchen has everything you need.

Loved staying at the Garten Haus cottage. Cute house in a great location, close to everything you could need. That's the best part, no long drive to morning coffee :) Will def recommend to friends. Thank you!

We stayed here for the weekend to attend Christmas Market Days in Gruene and it was great! Very cute and clean house, just as described in the listing. Plenty of supplies in the house for a weekend stay and the host proactively checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Great location within 10 minutes or less of anything you’ll need. Peaceful area, quiet.

It is a very nice place and very quiet surrounding area. East to get to and find. You do need to drive for about 10 minutes to get to the areas for sightseeing and such but not to bad. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
