This 2-bedroom Terrebonne home sits within walking distance of Smith Rock State Park, with panoramic views of the iconic rock formations from the back yard. As our valued guest, your rental includes one free ticket, per activity, per day to some of our favorite attractions including a Ghost Tour, Museum Tickets, Conoeing, and more! After booking you will receive a personal link to book your activities.

Description

The open floorplan connects the living room, kitchen, and dining area with large windows framing Smith Rock views. The living room features a smart TV with streaming, plush sofa seating, and a full-size futon that sleeps 2 additional guests. A separate sitting room offers armchairs and an ottoman for reading or morning coffee. The kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances including an induction stovetop with dedicated cookware, stone countertops, and full cookware and dishware. Counter seating accommodates 2, and the dining table seats more for group meals. Bedroom 1 holds a king bed, a dedicated workspace, private deck access, and an ensuite bathroom with an oversized single vanity and walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 includes a full bed. A second full bathroom has an oversized single vanity and a shower/tub combo. The washer and dryer are in-unit. Outside, the back yard pergola provides shade for al fresco dining and happy hour gatherings, and the gas grill handles summer barbecues. Binoculars and monoculars are provided for wildlife and rock formation viewing. Driveway parking fits 3 vehicles. In summer, walk to Smith Rock for climbing and riverside picnics along the Crooked River. In winter, the high desert trails offer solitude and crisp air with far fewer crowds.

No Pets allowed. If evidence is found, fees will apply for a deep clean.
No smoking/vaping allowed.
No parties allowed; no fireworks allowed. No campfires permitted.
Please respect quiet hours at the unit. 10pm-7am.
Please do not climb over the fence, as there is a cliff at the end of the property past the fence line.
Please return all items in the unit, back to the unit including books, binoculars, and monocular. If items are found to be missing, guests will be charged.
The house is on a septic tank. Please do not flush anything except toilet paper down the toilet.

Great location and views. Great communication by property management company. 10am check out seems early though I will say they let us keep our mountain bikes outside by the barn past check-out while we climbed at Smith Rock for a couple hours. Many things not working…coffee grinder, ice maker, front door glass screen would not close. 2nd bedroom shower needs updating. Should have been cleaner, black mold in laundry machine, blender unusable it was so dirty, food splatter along baseboards in kitchen, food on the cutting boards. I stay in Terrebonne often. Sadly, I won’t stay here again. There are better options for less money in the area.

Ok, a few words need to be said……the washing machine had mould inside it so we didn’t use it, the kitchen work tops had coffee stains on them and there was some residue food on the fridge door handle. But nothing comes close to the thousands of black hairs we found on the bed spread in the main bedroom…it was utterly disgusting. These hairs had also been transferred onto the pillows and sheet’s too. The bathroom towel rail fell off when I put a towel on it and throughout the property it was looking extremely tired. The green house/lean to door outside was half hanging off which would potentially pose a danger to a child. I emailed photos over and had several responses but we never clapped eyes on anyone whilst we were there. We decided to cancel our second three night stay there because we were so disappointed. Our first poor AirBB experience….

This house was awesome and the views were amazing! Everything in the house was nice and clean! Our only suggestions would be to have the dryer serviced, as it screeched loudly while running and to bring in yard service for the garden area. We will book this place again someday!

Responsive hosts, clean and updated home, in a location that literally cannot be beat. Less than 10 minute walk to Smith Rock, breathtaking view from the backyard. Had no problems with the facilities--everything was as described.

Everything was wonderful — the view from the windows was breathtaking. The place is cozy and has everything you need, and we were pleasantly surprised by the high-end, quality kitchen appliances. It’s a very secluded and picturesque location. There’s plenty of wildlife around: deer in the front yard, horses nearby, owls, eagles, and wild birds. We were absolutely thrilled with our visit to Crescent Moon Rancho — meeting the alpacas was definitely the best decision. Highly recommended!

I booked this home without knowing what to expect. My gosh, it was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been! The host was super cool and came through when I needed her most,(you rock Iris!)) I would highly recommend the base camp at Smith Rock!!! We had everything that we needed for a seamless trip. There were Quail, deer, lizards, and birds of prey everywhere. Such a special place. So many amazing hiking trails around and stars for viewing . When you feel like you’re done there is an amazing pergola to chill out under and take more in. I can’t believe this place was available. Thank you Grand Welcome for an awesome experience!

The location is perfect for enjoying Smith Rock, the home was comfortable and had everything we needed. The only downside was the obnoxious registration process including creating an account and uploading IDs and having to switch browsers to make the link work.

The house was beautiful, spacious, and had nice little details like heated floors in the bathroom and a dual monitor setup for working. It’s very tranquil and extremely close to Smith Rock, so very convenient for climbing (plus they have the newer version of the guidebook). Hosts were very responsive. Would love to come back during warmer months and sit out on the deck!

Home was roomy and location and view great. House was clean but there were some deeper cleaning needs. I’m sure they are things just due on the next rotation. Did have some struggles with the heating units. Maybe add an instruction sheet on that. But would stay there again.

Beautiful location with fantastic proximity to Smith. The home was very clean and had a spacious layout in the common areas. The home was very clean and with updated appliances. Unfortunately, the smaller bedroom did not have any heating; living room and primary bedroom were heated by individual mini splits. We located a small space heater to use, but this was not optimal, especially as we were traveling with young kids. Kitchen was missing toaster, foil/cling wrap, sponge/dish towels, storage containers, and fridge water filter didn't work. The dining table was very small - just fit 4 adults even though the home is listed for up to 6. The bedrooms were comfortable, the second bedroom is larger than it looks in photos and has a large shelf area. The primary bedroom is very large but has no accessible storage. We asked two basic questions about house amenities prior to arrival and were not given an answer, hosts feel very hands off. No issues with checkin/out.

This was the perfect base of operations for a trip to Smith Rock, especially if you want to upgrade from a camping experience. We unfortunately caught some rough weather so didn't actually get to put our climbing gear to use, but there was still plenty to do. The house was relaxing, offering a well equipped kitchen to prepare meals and a nice reading area with some great reading selections if you didn't bring your own. Park access is about as easy as it gets, and it's a short jaunt to Terrebonne or Redmond if you need groceries or want to grab a bite out. Make sure to stop at Redpoint. It's a climbing gear shop, but they also have a great beer and coffee selection and are working on making themselves a centerpiece of the community. I will definitely look to see if this AirBnb is available on a future climbing visit when (hopefully) the weather will work out in our favor a bit more.
