Brockway Springs Lodge, Steps to Lake Access!

Property mgmt company is very responsive and communicative but there were some annoying things like too many texts, waiting on late check out, door code didn’t work at first but they were quick to resolve it, and miscommunication with cleaners on the late check out. From the owner of the house, they didn’t provide any beach towels when it’s a lake and pool destination, and the fans were not good quality. Brockway springs community is gorgeous and worth it, and the place was very comfortable for our group.

Great location and facilities. Very walkable to Kings Beach. We chartered a boat that picked us up right from the dock. The pool is great for young families. Home itself dated and not set up will for little kids (no high chair). The fridge is old and struggles to keep things cold. You have to open the oven to access the kitchen draws.

The view of the lake couldn’t have been much better from the back deck. Having the lake just a few steps off the deck was a dream. Loved the steam room feature in the master bath. The comforter and bed were very cozy in the master bedroom. The pool and sauna and dock were great additions as well. I’d 100/% come back.

Shortly after we entered into the townhouse, we heard a continuous beeping sound coming from inside the unit. We were unable to determine where it was coming from and did not receive any assistance after contacting customer service. Later, while troubleshooting a separate issue with the water being shut off, we were finally able to locate the source of the beeping. It turned out to be a false alarm from the water leak monitoring controller installed under the sink. After resetting the controller, the beeping stopped. Another issue we experienced during our stay was that the townhouse does not have air conditioning. The master bedroom became very hot during the nights we stayed there. Although there are two ceiling fans installed, neither of them was working. These fans should be repaired, especially before the weather gets even warmer.

Thank you for your feedback, Michael. I’m sorry the persistent beeping and the lack of timely assistance disrupted your stay — that is not the experience we aim to provide. We have alerted maintenance and the homeowner. Maintenance will inspect and either repair or replace the water-leak monitoring controller under the sink, test all detectors/alarms to prevent any future false alerts, and repair the nonworking ceiling fans in the master bedroom. We’ll also test all fans in the unit and make portable fans available for guests during warm weather while we evaluate longer-term cooling options. Overall we hope you had a good time in Tahoe and we hope to get a chance to host you in the future

We had a really nice stay overall. The unit was nice and the view spectacular. The location was as good as you could get. The warm pool was great. The master bedroom was nice and the master bathroom seemed recently updated and was very nice. Loved the warm floor and excellent shower. The unit was clean but not as clean as it could have been. Mainly kitchen floor, cutlery, and glassware. cookware and utensils often still had food on them. Kitchen was not as well equipped as it could have been. We had to buy a kitchen sponge and basics like salt and tin foil were not here. There were 4 empty salt shakers so have been missing for a while. The cookware was old and worn. Chipped, mismatched coffee cups a broken wine glass in the cabinet a loose kitchen faucet. etc. Basically for the price we paid these things were well below expectations. Wi-Fi instructions were incorrect so we had to call the management company but they did resolve it. and there were very few instructions overall about the unit. For instance we didn’t know about the need for a card key for the pool and where it was left in the unit. (Hanging on the coatrack). Communication could have been better.

An absolutely beautiful view and location that is right on the water! The condo was really nice, well stocked and the check-in was very easy...and did I mention the view? We look forward to returning.

This townhome was very nice. 4 good sized bedrooms and 3 very clean bathrooms. Kitchen had good appliances, amenities, cutlery, dishes, etc. It was steps to Lake Tahoe with a gorgeous view out the back of the condo. Very quiet and peaceful when we were there. Possibly more noisy during peak season but not sure. We had trouble entering the condo at first due to worker painting and doing other exterior work. We were told we couldn't go in. Grand Welcome was responsive, but the local contact, Andrew, did go above and beyond to help out. Painting had been planned, but with no forewarning or information provided to us. This was disruptive with doors and windows taped up with plastic and some inaccessibility to the unit while the workers did their work. Workers were very polite and did their best to be quick and helpful. It was disruptive, though, and we were told we might get a bit of discount for our troubles. But so far, no word on that. Good unit, however.

Everything was great! The only thing is we reached out regarding the ice not working properly and were told someone would come out to fix it. No one came. Oven did not work properly. Otherwise, location and space is beautiful!

Great view from room, living and Patio, on the edge of the Lake, Clean. Kitchen have all the cooking needs. Good to have: few more mugs for Tea and Coffee. We only found 3.

Very nice place at Brockway Springs, we've stayed in a number of units at Brockway and this was well-appointed with extras in the kitchen (likes spices, etc). Beautiful lake view. If you're going during the winter, and the pool is a priority for your trip, you may want to call Brockway office directly to find out if the pool's heater is working as expected.

Our family had a nice stay at Brockway Springs there were a few things that were a major disappointment. The property just didn’t seem clean. The carpet in the living room was filthy. My granddaughter was crawling around and her feet and legs were dirty. There were cobb webs and mold in some of the showers. The outside area didn’t even seem like it was cleaned. Furniture in the living room looked quite worn. I was also frustrated that no beach towels were provided being near the pool and lake. Having to reuse your bath towel or wash right away in order to have a clean towel was time consuming snd a bit of a pain on vacation. The property and location was beautiful. If it has a good cleaning the rating would’ve been higher.

We never received the check in instructions, if there are any. We had to call and ask for the unit number and also internet information. We also found a razor blade in the couch cushions which cut my guest.

Our family of five had a great stay at this rental… beautiful house, clean and amazing location! Lake Tahoe is just a few feet away from the back deck! The community the house is located in is clean and safe and it’s walking distance from King’s Beach and plenty of restaurants and shops. We had to call the property’s helpline a couple times and they answered promptly and helped us right away. Only complaint would be we wished they had more extra towels, paper towels, etc on hand but that was a minor issue and we had a great stay. Definitely would recommend!

Overall the place is nice and in a good neighborhood, we stayed before in lake Tahoe and aways used a cabin to stay and some of the cabis have kayaks for the gest to use and gas grill if fire is not permitted, we think that this cabin is in the perfect spot but need some of those stuff for the kids like the kayaks will will be back to lake Tahoe but probably choose a diferent cabin

We spent 5 nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday and overall enjoyed the stay. The location is what sold us. The views from the back deck are spectacular. The unit itself was comfortable but has some deferred maintenance that absolutely needs to be addressed. Part of the draw to this location was that it advertised a gas fireplace. It did not work the entire time we were there. They did send out a maintenance tech but he indicated that they have been having issues with the fireplace for sometime which make me wonder why they have taken care of the issue. It was a HUGE NEGATIVE as it was an absolute must for us due to the time of year. We were extremely disappointed. The plumbing from the upstairs master bathroom had a fairly good leak which dripped into the leaving room area. Once again we called maintenance and they come out but said they could not do anything do to it being a 'Holiday Week'. Kitchen faucet was not only loose but swiveled to such an extent that you have to hold it down with both hand to turn the water from hot to cold. The RFID key that needed to be used to access the pool was not working. We asked if they could reprogram but were told by maintenance that they would request. He also said the pool was closed but that was not the case. We walked by several days only to find out it was not only open but recently remodeled. If it had not been for the fireplace not working I could have easily overlooked the other misc setbacks...
