NOTE
Currently, there is no beach, and we do not expect one to be available by July 4th. The lake is extremely dangerous due to submerged hazards, equipment, obstacles, and ongoing work by crews. With the high water level, Marla Bay's Beach is entirely submerged. Any visible sand is on private property. Please exercise respect, caution, and courtesy.

HOME NUISANCES
- This home has a strict no pets policy. No pets of any kind allowed. Owner has an exterior camera.
- Strict 3 car parking. 1 in the garage and 2 on the driveway. One side of the garage is locked off for owner storage. No guest parking.
- This is the first unit when you pull into Marla bay so there is a bit of road noise.

Beach Water Levels
Water levels of the beach fluctuate depending on the season and winter snowfall. Thus it’s possible for there to be more or less beach than the photos provided in the listing.

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCE
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come! :)
1. The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm (if this home has one)
2. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
3. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
4. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
5. We cannot accommodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if this happens.

PARKING PASSES
Douglas County requires all renters to display a parking pass on the dash of their car for the duration of their stay. They are located inside the home on the wall by the front door. Please put this on your dash immediately upon arrival to avoid a fine from the county. If the box is empty let us know right away. Reminder: we are only permitted for a certain # of vehicles to be parked in the designated areas only (garage, driveway, parking lot, etc). No street parking is allowed at rentals, per the county, regardless if you have a parking pass or not. Appreciate your cooperation with the Douglas County rental ordinance!

Singing in the pines is a beautiful home, but needs some upgrades to make it livable in the summer. I realize Lake Tahoe homes don't have air conditioning because the climate is mild, but I do believe ceiling fans in every room are a necessity to keep the inside cooler. There were no ceiling fans in the house. Only table, floor fans that couldn't compete with the heat. The master bedroom was 87 degrees in the mid afternoon! When we arrived, the home was so hot inside we had to run around and open the windows - but when it's warm outside and the cross-ventilation in the bedrooms was nowhere to be found, it was pretty miserable. Finally the late afternoon breeze brought in cooler air, but with no cross ventilation in the bedrooms, it was rough. A whole house fan would cool it off quickly. The home has a great layout, and wonderful balconies for eating outside and the kitchen appliances were awesome. Also, please take off the picture of the stairs to the beautiful beach seen on VRBO website because there is no beach!! Evidently, the water level is very high and comes pretty close to the stairs - a sliver of a beach for seating. Very disappointed since I based my decision of renting this house because of access to a private beach seen in the picture. We had trouble with the code to gain access into the house and reaching the property management. They finally called back almost 45 minuets later and helped us get into the house. Anyway, beautiful home, but we won't be returning.

We rented this home to celebrate our son's high school graduation and were looking forward to spending time together at the lake. Overall, the home itself is nice, spacious, and conveniently located close to the water.Our biggest disappointment was that when we booked the property, the listing advertised **private beach access**, which was one of the primary reasons we chose this home. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we learned that beach access was no longer available. We later noticed that the listing had been updated, but we were never notified of this significant change before our stay. Had we known in advance, we likely would have chosen a different property that better fit our family's plans.The home also had a few cleanliness issues, with several areas that needed more thorough attention, and there were some maintenance concerns, including water filters that appeared to need replacement.While we still enjoyed celebrating together and appreciated the home's location near the lake, the lack of communication about the loss of private beach access was disappointing and had a meaningful impact on our vacation. We hope the management company will do a better job of promptly notifying future guests when important amenities change so they can make informed decisions before their trip.

We really enjoyed the property. It was able to comfortably accommodate our large family and they generously allowed the guests access to their SUP's, boogie boards and beach chairs. The outdoor seating area was very comfortable and cozy. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Singing Pines! The home is well equipped for fun family time - games, ping pong, paddle boards and more. The was perfect for us! We enjoyed lots of summer activities on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. Everything was perfect for four adults and three children ages 13, 11 and 9.

This was a beautiful, comfortable, welcoming home. It’s one of the few homes I’ve stayed in that is EXACTLY like the photos. There were plenty of rooms, good bathrooms, excellent kitchen set up. We felt at home the moment we stepped inside. The walk to the beach is easily done and we captured many beautiful sunsets. Customer service was excellent as well. Twice we needed help and they responded right away. Even coming to the house quickly when we blew a breaker. The neighborhood is quiet, the busy highway wasn’t a huge issue, but you can definitely hear the traffic in some of the rooms. The highway being so close was nice though. We were able to get anywhere we needed to go quickly. This home is a great location for many beaches, heavenly village, grocery stores, and more. 10/10 Recommend
