Heaven's Nest - the BEST views of Lake Tahoe!

The home was well represented in the pictures and description. Place was extremely spotless and clean. We cooked several meals and the kitchen was well equipped. With our trip being in September, the temps were mild and we were very comfortable. Despite the warning of “slower wi-fi” we were very happy to find the wi-fi was 400megs down and 300megs up…. Fantastic! Stairs….. oh yes there were stairs. 61 stairs from parking to the 1st floor of the home. 61 stairs at 7480 feet altitude are no joke, yes we were fairly warned. I’d suggest not attempting to carry too much, and take breaks between trips. To give some perspective to this comment, I’m 61 years young (everything is relative) and I’d rent again, the views from up there are awesome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Heaven’s Nest. The views are absolutely incredible — you can see Lake Tahoe in one direction and Carson Valley in the other. It was especially stunning at sunset, and the stars at night were unbelievable. The outdoor deck and barbecue were perfect for relaxing and eating meals at home. The home itself was comfortable and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. Just a heads-up for future guests: the stairs are no joke. My fitness tracker logged 40 flights on one day, so be prepared for a workout. But honestly, the views make it worth the climb. Overall, a beautiful, quiet spot in a unique setting. We’d be happy to come back.

Beautiful Views, But Missing Essentials, especially for the price. The house offered breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains – truly unforgettable! However, several practical issues impacted our 4-night stay. Communication with the rental agency was not that great. They send these automated messages to every message that must give them a “quick response” high score with Airbnb but they don’t actually respond for many hours or the next day. The rental also lacked essential items. The kitchen was not fully equipped. There was no barbecue grill set so using the barbecue proved challenging. All towels were old and limited for our group, and we found ourselves short on toilet paper for 4 days. Also, no laundry detergent was provided. While the stunning views were a highlight, these overlooked details and the frustrating communication detracted from what could have been a perfect stay. Addressing these issues would significantly improve the guest experience.

Perfect Home ! It’s away from the crowds and noise but still close enough to get to the busy area in less than 10 minutes. We’ve stayed there twice and it’s our favorite Airbnb home for sure.

The view and the cabin itself was amazing… everything about it. Lots of steps getting to the door but we would do it again!!!

This place was wonderful! The pictures don't do it justice. The beds were comfy and the instructions made everything super easy. The stairs were a doozy, but we knew what we were getting into the views were totally worth it. The location was perfect for heading to the Nevada side of Heavenly and lots of great restaurants were within easy driving distance. If I had to be nitpicky, it would be that it's been a few years since we've seen checkout instructions that required stripping beds, taking out trash, and running the dishwasher. I was happy to do so, but it made me realize how uncommon that is these days. Most places we have stayed at just say: turn off the lights, set the thermostat, and have a safe trip. But again, that is very nitpicky! Thanks for a lovely stay!
