The cabin is truly beautiful, bright, cozy, and exactly how I imagine a mountain cabin should look. It reminded me of winters from my childhood, which made the stay feel special. It was clean upon arrival, felt relatively private despite nearby houses, and the neighbors were very kind. That said, at over $500 per night, the experience should fully match the price. We experienced the water issue mentioned in previous reviews (only very hot or very cold water), which made showering difficult. The kitchen had only basic items: essentials like a kettle and scissors were missing. Although dog-friendly, there were no small welcoming touches for pets (not even a bowl). Some dishes had leftover food on them, and we had to reorganize the overflowing trash before leaving. There was even a magnet asking for a 5-star review-while appreciated, I think there’s still room to improve before asking for that. I would happily return, but this stay didn’t feel worth the price we paid.

Really cute cabin, very cozy. No central heat and the floor heaters don’t get the house very warm so be sure to bring your own firewood.

The cabin was just as described. It looks newly renovated, the bed was comfy, the place was very clean, private, in a quiet location, and dog-friendly - we loved all of these things. The hosts were easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Initially, we couldn’t get into the cabin, but no problem, they provided a back-up for this. A couple of things that we did not enjoy - 1) Like other guests have noted, having the bathroom downstairs isn’t great when you’re having to use steep stairs in the middle of the night. 2) The water temperature. It’s either too cold or scorching hot. We attempted many adjustments, and there’s just no in-between. I would recommend using the handheld shower hose to make things a bit more comfortable when showering. Overall, a pleasant stay except for the two notes above.

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin in Meyers near South Lake Tahoe. The location is perfect for outdoor lovers, with trails right in the neighborhood and the option to hike all the way to Mount Tallac if you’re up for it. Being able to step outside and immediately access nature was a huge plus. The fireplace was amazing and made the cabin feel incredibly cozy, especially after long days of hiking and exploring. We also really appreciated that the cabin is dog-friendly, which made the trip even better being able to bring our pup along. The area is quiet and peaceful, yet still very convenient—just a short drive to South Lake Tahoe, beaches, ski resorts, grocery stores, and great restaurants. With plenty of nearby activities year-round, this cabin is an ideal home base for enjoying everything Tahoe has to offer.

This little log cabin is truly the perfect stay in Tahoe – super close to all the interesting stuff, while giving you peace and tranquility at the cabin. We had a great time in South Lake Tahoe. The cabin was a bit out of the way from the main area but was nice and quiet. Stairs were a little steep/narrow and having the bathroom on the lower floor apart from bedrooms was a bit inconvenient but design of the place was nice and updated. Overall, was a solid rental in Tahoe.

We had a great time during our stay here. The cabin was very clean and beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had all the basics needed to cook. The location was private which was great for our dog who is easily anxious, but still an easy drive to local grocery stores, coffee shops, and shopping centers. We'll definitely stay here again!

Augie’s cabin looked exactly as pictured. The bedrooms and bathroom were very nicely cared for. The living room / dining room area are also nicely designed but there are ants. When we would sit in those areas we would constantly feel crawlers on our skin and see them while sitting down to eat. We understand that bugs are to be expected in the mountains but if they are disturbing to the extent that they were I would hope that countermeasures are taken seriously. Bicycles were listed as part of the amenities on property and unfortunately there were none. Bikes are a great add on for any location in SLT as the local bike rental shops charge 50+ per day. The bikes would have been a great way to explore the neighborhood. The cabin is farther from any of the main tourist locations which is nice for quiet nights. Lastly, the automated messages sent from the rental company is excessive and at times does not match their current rates and procedures, ie. late checkout being $30 and not $25.

I love this Airbnb, It felt very homey and cozy. I love the floating tub. Only con is stairs are a bit steep. Other than that, I loved having a kitchen stocked so I can cook, clean fridge etc.

Good stay. The location is great with a quiet neighborhood and easy access to everything. The shower is a little tricky to manipulate and the water pressure is not great for washing longer hair. Beds and other furniture were great and the kitchen had all of the necessary cooking appointments. The daily pet fee was a little surprising as we hadn't noticed it in the description page and seems high but our dogs loved the house and got to go on some great hikes. For the area, a good house at a reasonable price minus to daily pet fee.

Overall the home was very cozy. The setup was nice and we especially loved the surroundings. Its a very quiet neighborhood and it's snowed while we were there so our daughters played in the snow. They host had board games and family fun games on the book shelf. My family played a few of those which was nice bonding time. The only difficulty was the stairs because they are steep and the bathroom is downstairs so getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom was a little rough. The host responded quickly everytime we had a question and we're very informative.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is homey, with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a cozy living room. As others have mentioned, you should be aware that the staircase to the second floor is steep. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s good to know before booking! I highly recommend and hope we’ll be back!

Very aesthetically pleasing Airbnb but was not worth the price. The first floor was extremely cold with a single space heater that barely provided any heat. No blankets or anything for us to enjoy the couch. We couldn’t use the kitchen sink without the shower water turning cold. Everything was very squeaky and not comfortable. Good for photos but you could find a better place to stay in my opinion.

Had a great trip we did lose power for a whole day and ended up having to spend about $40 on firewood just to keep the cabin warm other than that it was nice quiet cozy cabin

Our family had a great stay at Augie’s Log Cabin! We loved having breakfast by the enormous corner windows. Very stylishly decorated. Stairs were not an issue at all and bedrooms were comfy. Convenient to grocery, restaurants, etc right in Meyers as well as SLT nearby. Would stay again!

Augie's Authentic Log Cabin was Awesome! Charmingly appointed with a perfect kitchen space. I booked this cabin because A) it was dog friendly and B) had good counter space and what looked to be a good sized refrigerator. We travelled to South Lake Tahoe for a family wedding for which I needed to decorate the Wedding Cake (baked at home.) I couldn't have made a better choice in cabins. SO grateful for that. The sunlight was lit the downstairs in a warm glow. The bedrooms were beautiful too. The bed was VERY comfortable. (We always travel with our own furniture cover blankets in case the dog wants to hop on the couch. )

The cabin is very cute. The two bedrooms upstairs are very charming with nice decor. Great for friends or a small family. The bathroom is downstairs. The hosting company forgot i was checking in and sent me a contract when i was an hour away. What could be improved. No proper cooking pots and the hot cold water is extremely temperamental. It takes quite a while to get it perfect in the shower. You can get scalded as it gets very hot, then very cold when you play around with the hot/cold water handles. The claw foot bath tub is charming and lovely warm toilet heated seat!
