Explore Hawaiian history when visiting the nearby petroglyphs, ancient rock carvings dating all the way back to the 16th century.

This was a beautiful place. Quiet, peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for. Cake with a parking spot, which can be difficult to find in Kona.

A lovely condo in a lovely location. We particularly enjoyed the full bed sized bunk beds in the second bedroom. It was also quiet and directly across the street from Disappearing Sands Beach. Thanks for a great place to put our feet up after a busy day of swimming and touring.

We hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay!

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we chose the Big Island. My husband and our 2 boys (ages 21, 16) enjoyed our stay at White Sands #129. We found the condo was clean and exactly as described. The 2bdrm (3beds)/2 bath condo was perfect and offered the space we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to make both big meals and small snacks, even storage containers for leftovers. We appreciated the seasonings/condiments left behind by prior tenants so we didn’t have to buy everything again. We were also grateful for the extras left behind by others, and we used most of them (cooler, backpacks, beach chairs, snorkels/masks/fins, boogie boards, etc.). The washer and dryer worked great, and we returned home with suitcases of clean clothes. The condo’s location was perfect for us as we wanted a home base to travel all over the island, and we did. We visited Hilo, waterfalls, a coffee farm, Kohala coast and its beaches, volcanoes national park, black sand beach, and snorkeled.

Aloha, Pamela! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review! We're thrilled to hear that your first trip to Hawaii—and to the Big Island—was a great experience for you and your family, and that White Sands #129 served as a comfortable and convenient home base for your adventures. It's wonderful to know that the condo met your expectations, and that you made good use of the kitchen amenities and beach gear. We’re also glad you found the little extras left behind by past guests helpful—those touches really can make a stay feel more relaxed and homey. It sounds like you made the most of your time on the island, exploring so many incredible spots! Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime your travels bring you back to Hawaii. Warmest aloha, Grand Welcome Hawaii

Such a great place! The location is absolutely perfect. It’s only a couple minute walk to magic sands beach and the condo has all the beach gear you would need. It’s a short drive to down town which has restaurants and shops . The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and even has some seasonings. We had some issues with the wifi but Christy was very helpful and came to fix it. There’s some board games and even a speaker to listen to music on. The balcony was great to hangout on. The biggest downside was the fact that infants/toddlers (who are not potty trained) are not allowed in the pool. But overall this place was great! I definitely recommend staying here.

Aloha Catrina, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly glad to hear that you had an amazing time in Hawaii overall, and we sincerely appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We understand how frustrating it must have been dealing with the TV connection issue, especially after working to resolve the Wi-Fi. We're also very sorry about the issues with the bedroom door and the curtain rod – that definitely shouldn't have happened, and we’ll make sure those are addressed right away. The mention of water near the closet is particularly concerning, and we’ll be investigating it promptly to prevent any further problems. Your suggestion about having a portable crib is a great one, and we’ll look into adding that amenity for future guests. Thank you again for your valuable feedback and for staying with us. We're always striving to improve, and your insights help us do just that. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience next time. Mahalo Grand Welcome

We arrived early and were told a 2hr early check in was $60 but were allowed to go in an hour early. The place was clean, except dishes were a bit dodgy. They have guests responsible for cleaning apparently. There were chairs as advertised but were broken and had trash in them. They said they would replace if we wanted and then entered the premises while were gone without notice to put new chairs that we didn't need after the time we tried to use them. Very confrontational.

Aloha, Rob. Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the place clean overall. We apologize for the issues you experienced with the chairs and dishes. We understand your frustration and will certainly take your comments into account as we work to improve the guest experience. Regarding the early check-in, our policy is to ensure a smooth transition between guests, and we appreciate your understanding of the additional charge. We're sorry if the situation felt confrontational, that was never our intention. We strive to maintain open communication with all of our guests, and we’ll make sure to improve that moving forward. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to host you again in the future under better circumstances. Best regards, Grand Welcome Hawaii

My family lives across the USA and Australia and we all rented different condos in WSV for 10 days. My husband and I and our two kids (ages 8 and 6) stayed in this one and it was great. The kids loved the bunk bed, there were heaps of great games and pool toys included in the unit and everything we needed in the kitchen. The balcony is spacious and very private and was perfect for Kona coffee in the morning. Everything was as described and we loved the White Sands Village complex. The kids were in the pool 2-3 times a day, we played tennis on the courts in the afternoon and we LOVE the Magics restaurant across the street. Sadly the Magic Sands Beach had no sand while we were visiting, but I think that is just luck of the draw.

What we loved: - location, - proximity to grocery store, beaches, main roads. - We loved that the unit had beach chairs, an umbrella, body board, and beach towels.- the prior visitors left a bunch of convenient pantry items that came in very handy! What we wished was better: - the sheets smelled moldy (like they were left in the washer for over a day and not dried till the next day)- check in was 4pm, we were granted early check in at 3:30 but it was complicated to get a new code to check in before the automated one assigned at 4pm (took many phone calls and waiting till literally we were at the door)- the beach umbrella had broken spokes so it inverted with the wind twice on the beach (not ideal)- the check out process requires alot of cleaning, washing, and drying, in spite of also requiring a “cleaning fee”Overall:- we were happy with the place except for the issues noted above. If they can address some of those notable points, this place becomes a 5/5 rating!

The access to the condo was very easy. The condo itself was clean and worked for our family. The only negative was that there was no kettle to boil water.
