Cute bungalow in an A+ location. Short walk to surf spots Jacks, the Hook and Pleasure Point. Handy to local parks, shops and restaurants, recommend highly for small families traveling with littles. The place was as described and perfect for a week at the beach. Washer and dryer were great to have as was the small backyard for storing surf boards and beach gear. Would 100% stay again next time we are in town.

Great location. Close to the beach and shops/restaurants. Bring body soap, ant/spider deterrent, and be prepared to use your hotspot as the WiFi isn’t reliable. Beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of room.

Wonderful place - clean and simple beach vibe, lovely place with a short walk to cliffs/beach, lovely street with nice neighbors and close to surfing spots.

Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the home, the relaxed beach vibe, and the beautiful location. Being able to walk to the cliffs and beach is definitely one of the things we love about this area. We’d be happy to welcome you back for another coastal getaway!

PROS: Location location! This AirBnb is a block from the ocean! It doesn’t get better than this neighborhood in Santa Cruz — close to the best surf spots, Verve coffee, restaurants and shopping. Having a dedicated parking spot was AMAZING. CONS: Not to be dramatic but the absolute thinnest cheapest toilet paper ever. For such a pricey AirBnb, you would think 2-ply would be a given. This home is managed by an agency and it shows. We have a newborn baby and asked if we could check in a little early — no problem. For a price! And not a cheap one. I’ve never been charged for an early/late check in before. Also, bring your own toiletries. Cheap ones provided and zero body wash! Also, no extra towels. One each.

Great location and cozy little spot near a wonderful wave and walkable restaurants. Kitchen had everything you need and laundry was great. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you so much!

The house was cute and clean. I am pretty sure I was talking to a robot every time I messaged the host. The day before my stay I asked about a late checkout and received 3 different responses about when to check back about availability for a late checkout. I also asked what type of coffee maker, drip or pod. I was told drip coffee, so I took coffee grinds instead of pods. When I arrived, I was disappointed to find that the coffee maker was a Keurig. I was also disappointed that there was no body wash provided. I did message the host about both of these problems, and the reply was that they were looking into rectifying these issues right away because "the house was supposed to have a drip coffee maker and there was supposed to be body wash". I never heard from them again. So, cute house, nice location, horrible customer service. I highly doubt any of my messages went to an actual human. I feel like overall, it was overpriced and won't be using this company again.

We had a wonderful stay and loved the place! It is in a perfect location right next to Pleasure Point and we loved walking just 2 blocks to watch the surfers— such a mesmerizing view. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept so well, which is a top priority for us! The house was quiet, clean, cute and overall very comfortable. Loved having the back patio and the washer and dryer came in handy too. Comfy couch to hang out in the evenings which isn’t always the case in vacation rentals. It wasn’t necessarily well stocked so come prepared. It would be nice to have a better coffee situation (only a few keurig cups available), there was no shower soap, no coasters in the house (really want to be able to protect furniture), no wash cloths, and not enough toilet paper to last our 6 nights. I feel that these things should be stocked for a short stay like this. We brought our own coffee but it wouldn’t work in the keurig provided. Otherwise the experience was really wonderful and we would return again!

Loved the location and place! I had trouble with the outside party check-in system, and when I requested a 1-hour extension for check-out (wanted to be out at 11 am), I encountered friction. 10 am is too early a check-out for a multi-day stay.

This home had everything we needed and was very well kept. The house is recently updated yet still maintains a beach cottage feel. Location is great for a short walk to East Cliff one way and delicious coffee the other way.

Great location, cozy home. Just a short walk to the beach and the amenities of the East Side. This cottage is perfect for a small group or small family. Keep in mind you are working with a management company, not the owners. We did have an issue with the door locking mechanism at check-in but the management company promptly addressed the issue. There’s a rack in the back to dry wetsuits along with a washer/dryer unit. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

We had a great time staying there. The kitchen was well stocked. I especially appreciated the olive oil spray and various spices from Trader Joe’s. Beds are comfortable. Sound proof between rooms isn’t great, but reasonable/acceptable. Shower works well, and the hose outside of the house came in handy for beach days. I went surfing almost everyday, while my companions enjoyed the beach and scenery. All in all I would stay again if the price is right. The location cannot be beat. There’s even a neighbor with a supposedly famous pet pig! lol

This is a cozy, updated beach cottage! It close to the beach and walkable to local shops and restaurants. It's very comfortable and clean on a nice street. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star is that there was a leak in the bathroom sink that went onto the floor and wasn't fixed during our stay. Also I'd contacted the property management twice about getting a pack-n-play for our stay - they responded to acknowledge the request but never followed up to provide or decline it. Communication from the property management could be improved.

Our weekend visit to Santa Cruz was a wonderful experience, thanks to the perfectly located and cozy little cottage we rented from Grand Welcome Vacation Rentals. Communication with their team was always friendly and prompt. Arrival instructions were straightforward and easy. All was exactly as described and we felt immediately at home. The ocean is a 3-minute walk and invites for more exploration in both direction. We found great places for breakfast and lunch, - all just a stroll away. We hope to come back, bringing our bicycles or planing more hikes in the area. If you are a surfer, this place is simply ideal! We highly recommend it. What a find!

Overall very nice stay. Quiet neighborhood. Since we saw the instructions to leave thermostat on specific settings, we expected a/c. There wasn’t. No ceiling fans, but plenty of fans provided. We just aren’t used to leaving windows open and having humidity dampen our clothes. However, location was perfect for our needs and would consider staying again.

Amazing location!! We were so excited to be able to walk to E Cliff Dr. to watch the surf, or toward 41st for restaurants and shopping. The house was clean and it was nice to have a parking spot available. The keypad entry was easy to use when arriving and leaving. Definitely recommend!

This is a perfect little cottage for 3 or 4. We stayed with two adults, two teens, and it was just fine. The house is a little quirky but it ended up being absolutely delightful. It has plenty of updates that make it feel comfortable and quiet. The hosts took great care to make sure it is fully stocked with everything you need. Lots of thoughtful little touches like a stash of beach towels and a very well stocked kitchen. Furniture is comfy, beds are on the firmer side but not terrible. It's noted in the instructions, but there is only a spot for one car AND the street doesn't have a lot of street parking, so be prepared to walk a few houses down to park additional cars. This would be a great place to stay for a longer vacay. Location can't be beat. View the ocean from the driveway, walk to amazing food and coffee up 41st. Would absolutely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay and the place was perfect for our needs-- two bedrooms so our baby could have a quiet place to nap and within walking distance of great surf spots and restaurants. The place itself was very clean and had all the amenities you could need. Very minor but the cookware could use some updating (broken spatula, pans were sticky). Getting in and getting out was super easy. Would have loved some flexibility with check -in, especially if the place was ready sooner than 4. That was the only thing that caused a bit of a problem, but once we were in the place was perfect! Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling with a family or who just wants a bit more space.

We had an amazing 10-day surf trip to Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz, starting in early June. The location of the house couldn't have been better just steps from the water and right in the heart of the surf scene. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The rental office was professional and easy to deal with, and the owners were incredibly friendly and serviceminded, which made the whole experience even better. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a great spot in Santa Cruz especially if you're into surfing or just want to be close to the ocean.

The place was small and cozy, just as described. What really makes it stand out is the location—perfect if you love being near East Cliff and the shops on 41st. The Pleasure Point area of Santa Cruz has always been one of my favorite places in California. Mellow beach vibes steps from cool waves, great coffee and beachy fun for the whole family. Tons to do in Santa Cruz area, I only wish we had more time! The beach cottage was comfortable, cozy, clean and a 2 minute walk from beach and a few more minutes to Verve Coffee and Pleasure Pizza. Great place to relax after a long day of beaching out.
