Lovely house in Sea Ranch right next to the bluff trail and stunning ocean view. The house is modern and functional. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, tableware and glassware. Cooking supplies (cooking oil and anything beyond salt and pepper) need to be brought by guests though. Our family of four had a great time spending the weekend there, including soaking in the private hot tub under a starry night. Gualala village and Sea Ranch Lodge are within minutes driving distance. Host is super responsive.

Amazing spot in Sea Ranch. Would stay there again without question. Would encourage owners of such a high end property to check the house for damage between rentals (blinds broken) and have more kitchen basics available (better & more coffee, cooking oil, s&p, spices etc). Overall an amazing experience.

The view from the house was stunning, both day time views of the water crashing on the cliffs and the stars in the dark sky at night. The house was feet from the bluff trail and we actually saw many whale blows. The curated books on the history of Sea Ranch were very interesting and fun to read. We did experience a number of issues that Grand Welcome was very quick to respond to (remotes for bed and TV not working.) There were some comfort issues that I hope the owners will correct, namely the shower fan would clank when the wind blew (especially a problem at night) and the upstairs bedroom needs an additional chair (ie, one for each person.) The house also needs a new hot water kettle. Overall, it's a great place at a great location and you'll be lucky to get it.

Sea Ranch is a very special location on the northern California coast coast. This house was right on the edge of the cliff. It was an amazing residence. I cannot say enough about the architecture. We could walk out the door and begin walking on the coast trail.

The view is spectacular. Very private location and right next to Bluff trail. The house is very clean and love the art pieces especially the whale at entrance. Stayed in the house most of the time and watched two magnificent sunsets. Couldn’t spot a whale though. Love to be back.

We have been coming to Sea Ranch for over 40 years, this home is in our top three. The location can’t be beat. The home was clean, well-appointed, and had amazing views of the ocean and star filled night skies. We loved being steps from the bluff trail and Gualala Point. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at this Sea Ranch Airbnb was absolutely incredible. The home itself was beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed, but the real highlight was the breathtaking ocean view. Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset right from the living room was unforgettable. The large windows brought the outdoors in, giving us a perfect view of the coastline and surrounding greenery. It felt peaceful, private, and truly relaxing—exactly what we were looking for. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with stunning sea views, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend, and we would definitely love to come back!

There isn’t much more to say than this place was perfect. Perfect location with a perfect view and perfect everything else. Host was responsive with emails and communications on check in and out with no hidden instructions. The only complaint was the hot tub was really hot. But I file that in the “my lobster was too delicious” category of complaints. Great stay and host. Thank you!

We absolutely loved the Sea Ranch, and this location, right on the walk-way, really did it for us! We will absolutely be coming back. We received a message before check-in that encouraged us to check the cabinet before grocery shopping to see what they already had, but be warned there was nothing - not even salt. No problem for us, didn’t hinder our overall experience, but worth knowing - you have to bring all your own food - sat and oil included.

This review is long overdue...we had such a FANTASTIC time here I had to share, that the booking, communication with host, architecturally stunning well equipped house, location and overall incredible feeling of just being there makes the Pacific Overlook a 5 star experience. The bluff trail passes right in front of the home, so as long as you dont mind the occasional walker by being able to see you in the LR and kitchen, its perfect, with filtered views of the ocean. BR's are private so no worries there. One of the highlights is being so close to Gualala, and once on the bluff trail, its a beautiful stroll to the main beach, the interesting drfiftwood sculptures and 1,000 pelican gatherings. We cant wait to return!

Location, location, location!!! We had a wonderful stay at Pacific Overlook. The views are breathtaking. We had wonderful weather, a Super moon, King tides…and this house! We’ve stayed at Sea Ranch many times over the years and this is the best place we’ve stayed in. The home is well equipped and very comfortable. The management service was very responsive when we had a couple of small issues. We would come back.

I thought the house was very unique. It was very well laid out. We like the idea that there is no wasted space in that house and it took us a while to figure out the radiant heat but once we figured it out, it was fine, but we really liked the location and we thought the amenities were really nice. We will definitely rebook again. The price is well worth the location And it’s a fair price we think.

Awesome place! We did not want to leave. The upstairs bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Could have used a couple more kitchen things like mixing bowls and ziplock bags but that’s super nittpicky

We were the unlucky recipients of an ownership changeover and the changing out of the LP gas tank. It resulted in us not having any hot water or heat for our stay. The home is still beautiful, location excellent. We certainly wished that the management company would’ve been more communicative upfront and more responsive during our stay. They did make it up to us with a partial refund. So overall, we would give this property a thumbs up.

Pacific Overlook was ideal for our mini vacation with friends. One of our party became ill, but enjoyed the stunning views from the upper bedroom including watching whales on their southward journey. We were so happy to be steps from the ocean trail, and close to Gualala to meet our unexpected dining-in needs. The kitchen was suitably well-equipped. We enjoyed hanging out on the upper deck, making a fire, lounging in the hot tub and on the comfortable and attractive furnishings. We took full advantage of the ideal location and amenities. We are all talking about coming back. It helped that the weather was perfect.

Bright clean home. Hot tub was nice. Huge windows offer a wide view but some of the coast is blocked by some trees/shrubs. Great location walkable to Gualala beach. Furniture was comfy. There was no foil or oil or salt and pepper so be prepared to bring your own basics.

This was the perfect spot to "recover" from our very busy lives on the East Coast. The giant widows overlook the Pacific shore so you can feel surrounded by the natural beauty while inside a comfy house. Even though a trail was just a few steps behind the house, hikers were not intrusive so it still felt very private. It was a plus that we could hop on the trail to the bluffs so easily. The house is well furnished and the management team was welcoming and provided clear instructions about how to use the amenities in the house. We hated to leave and look forward to coming back!

My wife and I had a wonderful few days in Sea Ranch. The photos of this place simply do not do it justice. We expected to spend more time away from the property, but there was so much to enjoy, we decided to stay in and relax instead. The amenities were great. The house had everything we needed. Perfection + mice House: Perfect location. Exactly as described. Extremely comfortable. Well supplied and stocked. Very clean. Smoke free. Items functioned as they should. Hot tub was great. Tesla charger worked at any time of day. Perfect weather in September. Close enough to hear ocean with windows closed. Host: Very responsive. Took things seriously and acted very quickly. Respectful. Area: If you don’t know Sea Ranch, the area is a quiet haven where you can sleep, rest, relax, and hike. You’ll be able to read a book undisturbed by noise in the day and sleep peacefully* through the night. Very safe for solo female travelers. Was a new listing with 0 reviews when booked for a stay in Sep 2025. Nothing is perfect but that’s their goal. Very few kinks to work out still. *Mice will wake you up esp. if you’re upstairs. Hopefully the host’s efforts to seal the house and bring exterminators to trap and remove them from the walls and kitchen will succeed. Until then…best wishes

When I first booked the property, there were no reviews so I was a little nervous. However, this property is great. You can hear the waves throughout the house, which was really peaceful while we were making dinner/working on the laptop. Every room had a nice view. The neighborhood is quiet, and lots to do nearby. We walked the trail in front of the house, which would be easy for children! The house is clean, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was reasonably stocked with basics, and lots of room. The upstairs balcony gave a nice view while enjoying some home made spaghetti and meatballs. The upstairs bathroom has a heated toilet seat, which is much appreciated :) The fireplace is also nice when we had the balcony door open to let the fresh chilly breeze in! We didn't use the community center, so no opinion on that. Definitely walk the trail, though! My only thing about the house is I wish more of the living room windows could open, but I suspect there's a reason for that.

Great place with minor issues. Telescope in the upstairs helped us see dolphins from the bedroom. Felt like the sheets could’ve been washed better, couple hairs on them. Fridge was great addition. Had a mouse but it was dealt with promptly by maintenance (within 2 hours). This was something we knew was possible because of the location. We saw so much nature from our bedroom window. Even some foxes playing in a tree. Would’ve liked a couple basic kitchen things provided (salt and sugar) but overall this was a great place that we’d stay again.

Very beautiful and great place to be unplugged and be one with nature. We had the ocean view and the hiking trail was right next to us. We saw deers and a cute little fox family. Decor was nice and we enjoyed the jacuzzi and the night sky. Also very clear instructions and great restaurant recommendations. We didn’t go to the community area however passes were provided which was a nice option to have. Loved it and hope to come back again soon!

The location is amazing, steps from the bluffs and walking trail. Located close to town for easy shopping and walking distance to a beach. The house interior was as described and clean. The only downside was that the exterior of the windows were very hazy due to salt water and impacted the view. Management was very responsive, however was unable to address the hazy windows. I was able to hose the windows off myself, which helped significantly. We booked this place for the view, so it was important that we were able to enjoy the wonderful view.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood, beautifully located on the cliff top overlooking the ocean. We felt right at home and had an amazingly relaxing time.
