Walking and biking trails are minutes away, connecting you to Bend's extensive trail network. Downtown Bend is a 10-minute drive, where you'll find Deschutes Brewery, 10 Barrel Brewing, and dozens of restaurants and cafes along Wall Street and Galveston Avenue. Pilot Butte, an extinct volcano with a summit trail and 360-degree views, is about 5 minutes by car. The High Desert Museum, showcasing Central Oregon's natural and cultural history with live wildlife exhibits, is roughly 10 minutes south on Highway 97. Cascade Lakes Highway leads west to a string of alpine lakes for boating, fishing, and paddling in summer.
