Mermaid Cottage 3 BDR Charmer

My husband and I stayed at this lovely home for almost two weeks with our children. We were there over the Christmas and New Year’s break. It was odd for us to spend the holidays away from home, but your cottage was so comfortable and welcoming, that it made it feel like “home” to us. There was plenty of room for all of us to be able to spread out and have alone time, just like there was a large kitchen table to have family meals and plenty of seating in the living room to watch movies and have time together. There were appliances and linens, and almost everything we needed for our stay. The home was clean and inviting. Plus, we were less than 5 minutes away from downtown, so we were able to easily go into town to sightsee and visit. Our house favorites were the fire pit outside and the coffee bar. :) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we will be back in the near future.

Excelente ubicación, unas instalaciones preciosas y en muy buen estado. El lugar es tranquilo y está a 5 minutos en vehículo del centro de San Agustín. El anfitrión tiene un servicio genial, siempre estuvo pendiente durante nuestra estadía para ver que estuviera todo correcto.

We did not spend much time at the house because we were in town to visit a sick relative, but the house is cosy and comfortable and we were glad to be there.

This home was very lovely. Owners were rapid to respond when rental third party company did not provide entry access code. Checked back with us to make sure we got in ok. This cottage is filled with very nice decorations. There's area in the home were there wasn't anything interesting to look at. Welcome hand written note on front table, complimentary gourmet coffee and other essentials. There were local attraction brochures and coupons. House was very clean and in order. If and when we go bract to St Augustine will seriously consider staying here again.

The house is absolutely a dream! It is so beautifully decorated! Mermaid lovers, this house is a must! The location is super close to the center of the city. The self check in and check out process is super easy. Looking forward to staying there again!

Our stay at Mermaid Cottage was nearly perfect! A comfortable, beautiful and whimsical delight ... home away from home for a wonderful family visit. Quiet neighborhood, convenient to historic St Aug, spacious and well-appointed. This home is obviously loved and has been well cared for by the current owners. Their renovations are beautiful! I noted some other reviews commenting on the musty smell ... having grown up in Florida, I can assure you, this is normal for the age of the home; it was a complete non-issue. The train is nearby and does run (and sound the horn) at all hours. Another non-issue. Personally, I found the sound soothing and reminiscent of my carefree Florida childhood ... we lived along the FEC Railroad tracks 4 hours south of here. All in all ... this home, the owners and the host all deserve our gracious thank yous for a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house decorated do pretty. Very relaxing environment. Hose was fully stocked. Bed slept great!!

The Mermaid cottage is a delightfully decorated home, exactly as described on line. Spacious, comfortable, tasteful and just beautiful! We appreciated initial paper product supplies, shampoos and soaps and the bonus was a more-than-adequate spice cabinet! And the coffee bar was so grand! We were not able to enjoy the gathering area outside due to the season’s intense heat but the patio served nicely for morning coffee. Easily 5+ stars and would love to stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Cottage. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is a transitional neighborhood so we felt a little nervous at first. The grass had not been cut when we were there but I am sure they have had rainy weather that prevented them from cutting it before we arrived. We will definitely consider staying here again if we are in the area.

Loved the cottage, decorated beautifully. Has everything you need. We even brought our keurig, but there was one here. It is very convenient to hop on hop off trolley and to everything downtown. Winn Dixie right down the rd. Close to the marina for sunset tour. Will definitely return. The only thing better would be if it was pet friendly

house is really nice and clean. My only problem was the outside area. we wanted to use as it was so dirty that we had to clean and wash cushions off to be able to set outside. It wasn't a little dirty it had not been cleaned in quite awhile. Mud packed in cushion folds

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Mermaid Cottage. It is in a quiet neighborhood with all of the thoughtful touches that are needed and wanted, away from home. The kitchen is ample, common spaces cozy and bedrooms above and beyond. It is also close to downtown and convenient for sight-seeing. I highly recommend this location for your next St. Augustine stay. I certainly hope I’ll return!!

Well appointed very clean little cottage. We spent most of our time exploring St.Augustine. Any issues were quickly resolved. The area was quiet, although surprisingly transitional.

The property looks exactly like the pics! I loved that it was colorful and clean. I felt like I was on the beach even though I wasn't. I felt safe in the neighborhood. It was a small,hard-working, middle-class neighborhood. I actually felt right a home. The location was very convenient. We were only a 5 minute drive to pretty much everything. Great stay overall!

loved the cottage, It has more charm than what the pictures on line showed. The kitchen was very well equipped and the baths had plenty of towels. We spent the evenings in the backyard which is huge. It would be nice if there were tv's in the bedrooms and there was a dishwasher. Nobody was thrilled with the microfiber sheets. Overall, the place was great and we would stay there again!

We stayed at The Mermaid Cottage while visiting St. Augustine. It was a lovely stay. The house is located close enough to anything you would need. Everything is just a short drive away. The owners had a binder full of so much helpful local information as well as their story on the journey of remodeling the house which we enjoyed. I cant wait to come back again and see what other transformations have taken place. I would love to see the large backyard transformed into a tropical oasis fitting of Florida. There's a lot of potential there. I loved the layout and decor of the cottage and I really felt like the owners had really thought of anything we may have needed during our stay. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and there was plenty of bedding and towels available for our family of 4. Thanks for helping to make our trip amazing. Hope to visit again soon!

We loved this house, every member of our family enjoyed the home to the fullest. We traveled with a one year old and the house was perfect for our little one. The LOCATION Is great, close to everything you’d need. The house was very CLEAN when we arrived and the decor is so beautiful and perfect for instragram photos :) Love this home and highly recommend it !!!

This is one of the beautifully appointed houses that we have stayed at. No detail has gone unnoticed!! We were a little bummed that all of the free excursions were were promised were not available due to Covid 19, but that wasn't their fault. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area❣

I cottage is beautifully decorated. The 3 bedroom cottage is ready to move right in. The towels, bedding, shampoo, etc.... is all there.

Check in was super easy, the cottage is much more spacious than pictures project, the residence was neat and clean, and was in close proximity to downtown St. Augustine’s historic district. It was full of amenities we needed for an enjoyable vacation. There were 7 of us and we were comfortable. The yard is a decent size and if staying in spring or summer would have been the perfect spot for grilling. As it was, we ate in some but thoroughly enjoyed cuisine in the old city. There were two times I felt the need to contact the owner and both times was given a quick, polite, and accommodating response. The decor was perfect and the Christmas decorations were a special addition. If we stay in St. Augustine again, the Mermaid Cottage will be the first place I try to stay!

We enjoyed our stay except the kitchen area could use florescent lighting and the small bedroom could use some sort of fan it was very hot and me being the younger of the bunch took that room...we didn't like the shower heads! We loved your most beautiful bowls and plates, the skillets were great and the corning ware. Oh another thing the trees made a mess of our cars and there was no access to a hose to wash the stuff off...sorry but I am only telling you what I would like to hear so as to make things better for the next visitors! The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful and that was definitely a plus! Thank you David
