The following information is provided to make your stay as smooth and carefree as possible. Please read these rules and regulations carefully before booking and let us know if you have any questions!

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCES:
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come!
1. 10pm - 8am hours are quiet time for all rentals as determined by the county.
2. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
3. We cannot host extra people above the permitted number of guests or allow parties on the premises.
4. We cannot accommodate extra cars on the property. Parking on the street and dirt is prohibited.
5. If your home has a hot tub, please enjoy it until 10pm at which time hot tubs are no longer allowed to be used.

PLEASE NOTE: Noise levels are closely monitored in Tahoe and neighbors may alert the police in the event of excessive noise. Fines will be issued to guests found in violation of noise regulations. In order to protect the homeowner permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave in the event of noise complaints.

IMPORTANT INFO:
• QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: Nestled away in nature, Tahoe at night becomes very peaceful and quiet. As a result, we can only host groups that respect Tahoe's county appointed quiet hours. Our guests generally have no issues abiding by these rules, simply head inside or to the casinos by 10pm. We appreciate your understanding!
• KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
• TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance as we typically do not offer refunds in the event of covid, smoke, fires, weather, snowstorms, road closures, etc.
• WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic winter season of 2023, we recommend travelling with 4WD vehicles, equipped with snow tires and tire chains. Drivers should have experience with snowy conditions. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
• BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shoveled during the winter. But if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use outdoor spaces.
• LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out if you wish to request a late check out time. The first hour is free, followed by a $25/hour fee with check out time not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel as far as 1 hour to clean your home, so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time unless otherwise requested.
• HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts, and charcoal BBQs are prohibited.
• BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows, and view bears from afar. Please do not feed the bears.
• TOWELS: We supply one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant, as well as one hand towel per bathroom.
• SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance, but we take our guests' privacy VERY seriously. There are never indoor cameras. Most cameras are only in use to monitor snow and noise levels, plus a little bear watching.
• MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: Any time you’re staying at a Tahoe home, it’s not uncommon to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found, it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, it’s simply life in Tahoe! Please let us know if you find any critters and we will promptly mitigate.
• REVIEWS: We genuinely value your input and appreciate constructive feedback that can help us enhance our offerings. If you have any issues whatsoever, please communicate directly with us so we can offer a resolution. We will always act swiftly to ensure your best possible stay. We appreciate the opportunity to meet your expectations before leaving feedback in the form of reviews that have a lasting impact on this home and its owners, who are real people behind the scenes.

Thank you and happy travels!

WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY
A storm in Tahoe can drop up to 2 feet or more in 24 hours so if you haven’t been to Tahoe during a heavy Winter, please take note. The roads and driveways in Tahoe are only plowed when snow accumulates to more than 6 inches so if it snowed less than that or you are coming during an active storm, you will arrive to snow on the roads leading up to this home AND on the driveway. Since street parking is not allowed during the Winter, you will need to drive over the snow either using chains or with your 4WD engaged (or both) and onto the driveway. There are also shovels provided for shoveling. Especially after the historic Winter of 2023, we do not recommend coming to Tahoe unless you have a higher clearance 4WD vehicle with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Always bring chains no matter what kind of car you have. Even if it’s not actively snowing, Tahoe roads are steep and icy. Power outages are also common. The Grand Welcome difference is we have a very experienced local team who are here to help you during your stay – as long as safety allows. If we can get to you, we will come help! Not all hosts have this kind of local support so this is the benefit to booking a Grand Welcome home!

IMPORTANT INFO
* CONTACT US: Our preferred method of contact is through the app via messaging. In case there is a delay in response time, we also have a dedicated local team on stand by for your needs who work daily 9am to 5pm. If during those times a problem arises, please text them directly. We will email you their phone number. They prefer to text as they are in the field with limited cell service most of the time. After 5pm, please message us on the app or call our customer care team.
* QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: In Tahoe it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop! As a result, we can only host quieter groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Our guests are normally fine as long as they head inside or to the casinos after 10pm. Appreciate your cooperation!
* KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
* REVIEWS: We kindly ask for understanding and compassion when sharing feedback about this home, just as we strive to approach responding to reviews with empathy. We understand that experiences can vary, and what might not meet one person's expectations could exceed another person’s expectations. Your reviews have a lasting impact on the home and its owner, who are real people behind the scenes. We genuinely value your input and appreciate constructive feedback that can help us enhance our offerings.
* TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc.
* BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and if there is propane - feel free to use it!
* LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
* NO AC: Unless otherwise specified there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
* STARTING SUPPLIES: We provide a STARTING set of supplies which includes 1 roll of paper towels, 1-2 rolls of TP per bathroom, etc. Depending on your parties usage, you may need to buy or bring more. Our local team is always on stand by for your needs as well.
* HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
* BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
* TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per permitted occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom. We do this to limit laundry for the cleaners and it’s less wear and tear on the washer/dryer. If you feel you will need more towels, please bring them. Hot tub and beach towels are usually not provided.
* SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes.
* MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If any of the above are found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, it’s just apart of mountain life. Please let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.

Thank you and happy travels!

We do our best to communicate with you long before it leads to an eviction so please have your booking cell phone on you during your stay. Message us if you have any questions or concerns and we appreciate your understanding on the matter 🙂

Fall family trip to Lake Tahoe

by Eric M.
Nice, clean, quiet, and well-kept older home built into a hill with towering pine trees throughout the large property. The garage is located uphill with a nice set of covered wooden stairs leading to it. The large back porch is an enjoyable place for the family to relax, eat or enjoy a cocktail. The hot tub was a nice place to relax after busy days hiking and boating. The 2 things that made me decide to rent the property over others were the garage and the hot tub. Unfortunately, the garage turned out to be too small for us to use for our SUV or boat trailer. It measured less than 19 feet. My only option was to park both uphill on the side of the road. Also, when we arrived, the hot tub water was green. Regardless, we made it work and really enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend the property to others.

We stayed just after a major snowstorm. It was a wonderful winter wonderland. The house itself is cute and quiet. Very well furnished and accurately described in the posting. Backyard had large open area that our children had a blast playing in. Treehouse and swing were a hit, even in the snow

Not only was the inside of this property amazing with a ton of sleeping area, but the outside was even more spectacular. It has a semi-steep hill that was perfect for sledding, a tree swing, and even a tree house for the kids. Will definitely book here again!

Good Tahoe family getaway

Our family enjoyed the cabin and the stay. It was well suited for for us, particularly for our two younger children. It is not a “luxury” arrangement but well appointed with cookware, toys and games. Great place for a family vacation.

Nice quiet cabin!

by Darren G.
Plusses - great for family - lots of games for kids, plenty of beds in the loft, swing, treehouse, video games - clean, quaint, nice deck, quiet neighborhood, good location for Southshore destinations Negatives - beds aren't super comfy - needs one more comfy chair in the living room - only garbage can was in the kitchen, both bathrooms need cans Overall, a really nice place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Great House

by Darren M.
This is a great Tahoe property. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars across the board was the fact that there was only 1 garbage bag for the entire 6 night stay and no garbage in the bathrooms. Also, it is a 1 1/2 bath house NOT a 2 bath house and that makes a difference with 3 teen girls.

Nice cabin with great location

by Stacey P.
We had a great time at the cabin. It’s filled with games to play and plenty of items to use for cooking and eating. There are a lot of stairs from street to the cabin, so differently abled people could really struggle with that. For us, the beds were a bit firm and the sheer curtains made it bright throughout the cabin starting at 5:30am. This was our first VRBO, so now we know to look for a king size bed. We LOVED the spa and used it every day. We could tell a lot of care and love went into making the cabin a wonderful place to hang out. Thanks for the pleasant vacation destination.

Soft Place to Land

by Shelby D.

A much needed escape from the Bay that ended up being perfectly timed with leaving the poor air quality. We loved the kitchen, the high ceilings, the hot tub, and the massive backyard swing. The bed in the primary bedroom was a little firm, so we ended up on one of the bunkbeds upstairs, but worth it! We love the Tahoe area, and had an awesome time playing disc golf at Bijou and Zephyr. We love the beer scene and were excited to enjoy a beer or two.

Great location!

by Andrew D.

This house not only had everything we needed to have a great stay, but it was also so close to so many great restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and, most importantly, adventures! We never had to drive more than 25 minutes to get to great hiking, jet skiing, shopping, and countless other things.

Another perk of this place is its privacy. The fact that it’s off of the road a bit helps as well as the fact that it has a nice yard (with a sweet swing!) and hot tub really helped us feel secluded from everything else.

You can’t go wrong with this rental!

Cabin with all the modern twist

by Anonymous

Loved our stay here! Super close to grocery store and restaurants, but the best part... the house is in a quiet neighborhood where the kitchen is stocked with all the necessary tools. To top it off, Alexa and Netflix kept me warm during the snowy day. Hot tubbing at night under the stars and pine trees became a routine in our short week there. Loved our stay and don’t mind the stairs... really!
