April The Newport to Ensenada Yacht race is regarded as one of the west coast’s top sailing regattas.
June – August You’ll find the warmest weather – dry with a high of 73 degrees, while the lowest temperatures only drop to about 60 degrees in the winter months.
December Migrating Gray whales can be seen just off the coast between December and April, while other whales can be seen year-round. The 109th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade offers illuminating boats that navigate the harbor during the Christmas Boat Parade (Dec 13-17). The most popular time to visit Roger’s Garden is during the Christmas season when the gardens are theme decorated and strung with thousands of lights.
